New Keycaps for DAS Keyboard Ultimate?
« on: Wed, 04 January 2017, 07:27:17 »
Hi,

my DAS Keyboard 4 Ultimate Keycaps could have more grip to my hands. What to do?
I heared that there are cheap sticky ones from TAI HAO. Is this reality?
I want in general a bit more grip. Blank keycaps would be cool.

What to do? I'm newb in that topic. Please Guide me.

Best Regards

Im wondering if sticky is the right term you're looking for here.

There are more rubbery textures, like the stock caps you can get on pok3rs, which is the closest to 'sticky' I can think of.

As far as nice cheap blanks go though, gateron blanks are some of the best caps out there and are fairly inexpensive on mechanicalkeyboards.com -----> Caps

Im not sure if a das 4 has a standard bottom row or not though

Excuse me, but my DAS Keyboard has MX Type Switches and not GATERON.
I dont want to have "sticky" Keycaps. But like you side maybe rubberized texture something?
Not that flat that you just slip off.
It also happens sometimes with the spacebar.
The Keyboard is not bad after all.
Also want to stick with the OEM keycap height.

Gateron caps fit mx switches, gateron are MX clones after all. But they are cherry profile so it won't fit your request.

As far as rubberized texture, I can't say for sure but I think these caps are the same as what is used on vortex boards, which I know have as close to a rubberized texture as I know of.

They should fit according to support xD

PROFILE is OEM

Nice people

Edit: The Shipping is about 30$ which makes them cost me 70$ to Europe. Definitely to much xD
I wonder about them

Are they any good? No one knows but they have good reviews...

You're sure that the profile is OEM?  I bought this set (Blank Black PBT Keycaps - 120 Keycaps (Gateron)) from mechanicalkeyboards and the profile is Cherry.  It is immediately noticible because Cherry profile is lower than OEM.  They do work well with my das keyboard 4c though.
