(Why 1800?)
The Valkyrie was designed first and foremost with my preferences in mind, and the 1800 layout is my personal favorite layout option - it strikes a balance between full functionality, while also not taking much more space on the desk compared to a TKL. I have received a lot of feedback that choosing a TKL layout or smaller would likely perform better and receive much higher sales. While this may be true, not only have I put my personal preference above that, but I do believe that the larger keyboard layout space has not yet been quite as saturated with countless amazing options as has the TKL and 65 spaces.
I decided to employ my personal favorite mounting system; leaf spring o ring gasket. The sound and feel produced by this mounting system is, in my opinion, unmatched.
Depicted on the underside of the keyboard is the well known mythological valkyrie from Norse mythology, crowned in her winged helmet, ready to guide slain heroes to the afterlife. After making so many trips to the afterlife, it seems that she, too, has been touched by the rot and plague and death of the afterlife herself, hence the use of patina in the weight and the intermingling of materials. The side profile aims to depict that very inner rot being visible through the grated helmet that is the top case. On the top side, there is a PC badge of a flower bursting with the infectious rot she has stored within her (any similarity to a recognizable video game character is purely coincidental).

Still in the process of aligning with the factory that can produce the patina finish. The performance of this interest check will influence that alignment.

Why do I keep hearing: ''I am Malenia, Blade of Miquella'' :-\
GLWIC, the red patina brass fits the theme really well :)

Ok, good job Crispy! I really like what you've come up with here. Definitely got a unique look & I'm a sucker for a good 1800 also. Two things I'd love to see here are a Cherry lip (you got a low front height already but I think it would make the KB that much more comfortable & look great too) & support for split - on the numpad on the PCB. GLWIC!
