Will they drop it or does Canada give out those "F U POST OFFICE WEENER!" slips too?

OMG! My mailman leaves them in the mailbox for everyone around here without even knocking on the door or attempting to deliver!

It almost sounds like the postal services in Norway. They don't even try to deliver some packages that they deem to be too big for the postbox, but in reality they just don't want to carry all the boxes around with them. I can see why if you don't have a vehicle though. Here in Oslo the majority of delivery people push this cart thing around all year xD.

oh my goodness, first world problems. today i went to the post office for new unicomp keycaps. and i was told that i am three days late for free pickup and should pay for three days of keeping the parcel. and this is because i came after receiving second delivery notice instead of the first one. but the first one magically disappeared from my mailbox. the not-giving-a-**** attitude of the postman cost me  $1.60.
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

This is pretty common in here.

They don't leave the delivery notice and you just have to make a call to the post office asking for your item if you're lucky enough to have tracking and decided to check that the item is in delicery process.

It really depends on the postman though.

well, it's russia. for example, drinking in some public places is prohibited, and the fine is $3.30 ($1.70 bribe aka "bank commission" not included).

This is pretty common in here.
where?
also, in russia it's mandatory for a postman to put delivery notice in the mailbox.

In Spain.

As I said it's random and it depends on the postman. Usually it's always the same and he's a nice man but if he isn't that day and the one who does his work feels lazy he doesn't leave a delivery notice and doesn't try to ring.

Woops, I didn't see my location was removed. I updated it.

Nice price on the keyboard. You get a lot of value from that, even if you value the Dolch keyset at $30 that's $25 for 100+ switches (I don't recall how many are in a G80-1800) so just putting 104 into my calculator... I get .24 per switch. You could probably unload the case and PCB for $20 or so, so you made out very well. If I had to hazard a guess (if you strip it for the parts l, keep the caps and that's it) you could sell the switches for about $40, IMO, and right there you've made out with more money than you put in. :)
