Does anyone have any idea why the in switch leds are only turning on and off when i use the led func, modi, alph, or pad options from O2D. Shouldn't using those keys cycle through multiple different led modes?

Should be a LED setting for that...there are so many functions it confuses me.

Yeah, idk either. I thought on the Orion V2 that i had, using those functions cycled through the modes. Not sure what I'm missing.

I soldered the corners switches and started testing the PCB. I noticed that the top right key, the one that is supposed to be PgDn is only affecting the smd rgb leds. It doesn't register as PgDn? Is there anything wrong? It seems to change a few underglow mods.

Also noticed that when I was inspecting and testing the PCB. I also noticed that all underglow RGBs are set to a white colour.. previous PCBs all had colour cycle on by default.

Regarding the key in top right corner.. I assume it can be remapped to whatever using O2D software.

One thing I noticed regarding the RGB  underglow is that the numbers in the configurator do not match up with the board itself. The configurator shows RGB No. 1 being at ~ the F1 location when in fact it is at Left Shift.

So the color you input for No. 1 will actually appear where the configurator shows #16. No. 2 will be at #17, 3 at #1, etc. The order continues on clockwise.

Not a big deal, but maybe something that whoever wrote the software could easily correct on the graphic.

Packaging was impeccable. I built it last night. I'm still playing with its configuration. Sorry for the iPhone shots. I don't use backlighting or underglow normally but I put sip sockets in each switch and indicator leds. A few pictures:

Were you going to solder on the hotlites? I heard that there's not a nice fit with them and the PCB

Don't know exactly what I'm doing until I receive the holtites. I also have some mill max sockets that I can use if the holtites don't fit well or won't stay in place on the bottom row. The LED holtites are all installed and working, but the GB I bought them from shipped led separate from switches so I'm still waiting on them to see exactly how I'm going to do this.

I just received my holtites today and the fit is pretty loose. To hold them in place, I added a small amount of solder to the top of the pad/holtite.

Here's a picture under the scope of what I did: https://imgur.com/a/6xf74

Interesting. I was planning to just tack the holtites in place on the bottom of the PCB.

So does your solder actually flow over the top of the holtite and actually sandwich the top lip against the PCB?

Yeah, it appears to flow over the top. Hoping to look back into it this weekend and like you were saying, add some to the bottom as well.

If someone could point me to the o2d 1.11 software I'd really appreciate it.  I can't find it anywhere (only up to 1.10), and I can't seem to program the split backspace with older versions.

Edit:  Found it http://kbdlab.co.kr/index.php?mid=board_sw&document_srl=100301 of course seconds after I posted this.

Use a pair of metal tweezers and short the two switch pins. Check on a key tester such as Switch Hitter. Rinse and repeat

This is what I do too.
A word of caution though, if you're using the needle point electronics tweezers like these do not stick the tweezers into the sockets to make the connection. That is exactly how you rip pads on a pcb.

Cool, just to be clear, all i have to do is turn the multi-meter to continuity mode, and test the pins where the switch would go to see if the meter makes a beep? (All while the board is unplugged)

You should plug it in if you'd like to test it. No electricity = no test

Picked up mine from the post office today and the anodization looks immaculate  :-* Unfortunately still haven't decided what switches I'm going to build it with though.

Tested the PCB and just wanted to confirm with anyone who might know. The left switch pads of the split backspace don't register as anything. I assume the default layout just doesn't have anything assigned to those pads but since I plan on building it with a HHKB style alpha section I want to make sure that everything is in order.

Anybody tried to run QMK/TMK firmware on this keyboard? Thinking to port it there if not done..

It can be done in theory, since QMK and o2d both require the same controller.

Yes, it shouldn't be very hard. I know there was implementation for Lightsaver v2. Will try to look over weekend into it.
