Right now I'm using a Thinkpad T410 with it's standard keyboard. Not into carrying a Model M to school (maybe a space saver if I had one).

Hang in there!  Salvation is on its way!!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Just picked up a Das with MX Blue (the blank kind..."Ultimate"?) at the thrift store for $6.50. Trying it out now. So far, the Blues feel rather awkward compared to my usual MX Blacks, and there's something a bit odd about the keycap texture that makes my hands go out of position more than usual-- but I'll stick with it for a little while and see how it is after I've adjusted.

No. If anything it's a scissor switch which is still technically a dome.

Right now KT800P1 from the late 90s. A keytronic.

I switch at my work desk all the time. My coworkers think I'm strange.

For a dome keyboard, these always have had excellent feedback.

Don't care for the small backspace key, but not too much I can do about that one.

Work:  Dell SK-8115 which is a decent keyboard.  A bit mushy like a wet sponge but easy to type with.  I also use this one other Dell that sucks so much.  It's got slim laptop style keys and little legs that doesn't lift the keyboard when you extend them.  The keyboard itself is so flat that it feels like you're typing on an ipad.

Home:  I rotate my keyboards around.  I was using a SIIG Suntouch K101 for a short while then busted out the Keytronic Lifetime Series that I got from the dumpster at work (I work for a storage company and dumpster diving is a major sport in the field lol.)  Its a pretty good keyboard but some of the keys are so worn out that you can see your reflection.

Currently using a Razer Blackwidow TE.

I know it's not great, or even good. I just didn't have a lot of knowledge when I first bought it, but having said that, I am pleased with it. At least it's not a rubber dome pos.

That said, I'll hopefully have my hands on a Filco and a Poker by the end of the year  :thumb:
