Quick clack question: I had a look at the colours list and didn't spot anything but does anyone know if there is a white or grey clack that would match the white or grey keys of a white HHKB? Hardcore white seems a little too white and I haven't seen a light grey that would match the modifiers.

Thanks.

I think there is a light grey f2 cc. But not sure how good it matches. And depth white or 3D should match better than hardcore white. But it will never be a 100% match

Thanks guys, ya I don't expect it to ever be a perfect match just looking for the closest. That light grey looks quite promising as does depth white. Now to try and find one of these at a price I can afford.

Dunno if you saw yet but I received a Green T1 Skull for MX. Here is a picture of it for you, if you haven't seen it yet. I tried to match it as accurately as possible without it looking like a Toxic or Guac. It's not Toxic bc CC described it as "similar to Toxic".

Can and will do :)

Took me about an hour to get it as accurate as possible, but this one is really really hard to get spot on. This is what I got today.

eth0s calls it Skeletor. Clack posted 2 prototypes with Bone colored faces. This one is actually in collectors hands, has a white face, and has been called Skeletor by a huge collector. So I'm still calling it Skeletor. Unless Clack says otherwise.  :thumb:

I thought Clack already said otherwise in here. I've had big collectors correct me for calling it Skeletor so I have my doubts. I'm ok with a provisional name but I'd still like clarification.

Hey there! I'm a bit behind with the emails/PM responses, sorry. =S
I get this question a bunch and I'm not sure how the confusion started but it goes back a while. The keycap you show is NOT a "Skeletor". It was a prototype of sorts, a DM key from long ago. It's light milk purple (aka lavender milk) on P1 purple. It's likely not a white one, put it next to something that is white and you will see what I mean.
All Skeletor keys (which actually go by a different name) consist of no less than 3 colors.
Neither of the ones that I posted are bone colored, they just unfortunately look that way in the picture. They are a funky greenish yellow and... "something else"...  ;)

Lavender Milk on P1 Purple Prototype!!! Wow what an awesome color combination. I love it just as much. Thank You CC for your input! :D
It looks like Gum to me, not P1 but if you say its P1 I believe you.  :)

Dear ClickClack,

Thank you for the info as always :D

<3 CPTBadAss

Do you have a name for them?

DM key from long ago. It's light milk purple (aka lavender milk) on P1 purple.

Can call it bi-color lavender milk or milk purple on P1 purple. Or DM purple? Whatever DM is...

Pretty sure that was a 1-off, or at least an EXTREMELY limited run, since I've only ever seen pictures of it by sixty (the picture you linked). Because of this I don't think a price can really be given.

Answering a question from the "Post your clacks!" thread.

Whats the rarity on the oktoberfest skull like? higher or lower then the older ones like Jack/OG/Mr Friday?

Inquiring minds would love to know. Seems to me the Drunken/Candy Corn/Julysicle skulls tend to sell for north of $200 which is a bit rich for my blood.

Dustin has sold the last two Candy Corn skulls that I've seen for $190 and $200. The last Drunken I saw went for $200. A Mr. Friday went for $250 the other day. Tri-color skulls sell almost instantly, even for prices >$300. An OG sold within minutes for $250 about a month ago.

The Ancient Clack of DooM:

Here is a little history about this particular Clack.  AFAIK, the Clack in the pic above is a unique Clack.  There is only one.  [CC can correct me if he made more than one.]  Now, this particular Clack is the one I got from Tsangan who got it from ekw808.  Tsangan called it "skeletor".  After I owned it for a short period of time, I passed it on to Dustin.  However, from CC's post, we learned that it is in fact NOT called "skeletor", but instead it's a "prototype of sorts, a DM key from long ago", and that it's a lavender milk white skull face on a P1 purple key.

Whatever you call it, however, I can attest from personal experience that it's WAY too powerful for one person to own for very long.  It emits a strange and powerful sensation, which is more than a little disquieting.  I wasn't ever too comfortable around it, TBH.  It really needs a new owner every so often.  If Dustin passed it on to somebody else, I can say that I understand why he did it, and that it was due to the strange power of that Clack.  Too strong.  Whoever the new owner is, I hope you can handle the mysterious power of that prototype/ DM Clack.  That Clack should definitely have a name.   I suggest that we call it the DM Clack from long, long ago; or better yet we should call it the "Ancient Clack of DooM".  Beware the Ancient Clack of DooM.
I ♥ Click Clack.  I ♥♥♥ Bro Caps.

eth0s calls it Skeletor. Clack posted 2 prototypes with Bone colored faces. This one is actually in collectors hands, has a white face, and has been called Skeletor by a huge collector. So I'm still calling it Skeletor. Unless Clack says otherwise.  :thumb:

"something else"...  ;)

I thought Clack already said otherwise in here. I've had big collectors correct me for calling it Skeletor so I have my doubts. I'm ok with a provisional name but I'd still like clarification.
You thought correctly and were corrected correctly.  =)

Excellent write up as always my good friend!!!!

I saw this a while ago but was on my dang tablet so didnt want to reply about this nice long story. Then I kept forgetting to reply on here.

The Ancient Clack of DooM! That is the perfect title.. Not sure if it comes from..

Some Indiana Jones or Prometheus type era... Quite possible...

It is the single most beautiful piece of art I have acquired and loved it every day in my possession. But could not keep it away from a fellow enthusiast. I had to pass the love and odd ora that surrounds the clack. Hopefully they speak up soon, Im sure they will and you will see their new spectacular love for this quite peculiar yet amazing piece of history!

I totally agree, and Prometheus was a fine standalone movie. People give it so much **** because they are holding it to the Alien franchise standard, when by itself Prometheus was a great Summer blockbuster, albeit mindless fun. Truthfully I enjoyed it more than Avengers.

This is way off-topic.

I'll probably liquidate all my 420's if I can finally get a Mr. Friday MX this year.

Now that I have a Julysicle I just need to get the Friday to have the two clacks that got me chasing the dragon.

EDIT

Quick clack question: I had a look at the colours list and didn't spot anything but does anyone know if there is a white or grey clack that would match the white or grey keys of a white HHKB? Hardcore white seems a little too white and I haven't seen a light grey that would match the modifiers.

Thanks.

I think there is a light grey f2 cc. But not sure how good it matches. And depth white or 3D should match better than hardcore white. But it will never be a 100% match

I own a Grey F2 and it's a hair darker than the dark grey IMSTO Cherry replica dye-subs.  It matches a white/grey two tone set nicely.
