mmmm Filco. To me it's still the standard of what a solid mechanical keyboard should be.

Nice analogy. This brand has certainly been our Elenore. Glad to be able to finally provide a true stateside outlet for them.

Even the much sought-after one with the yellow keycaps is there! :)

Although I already managed to get a set of just the keycaps, although they are going a bit shiny through overuse :))

Leopold > Filco :D

Can a FC660C/M do what this does?:

https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=1865
Have weird keycap sizes? Yep the FC660 can do that, and there is a Bluetooth FC660m as well. :P

Besides cherry stabilizers will always be my favorite over costar.

I will admit I've never used a filco but don't see the need given the price premium and still needing better caps to replace the stock caps and no removable cable.

But it's always a good thing to see you guys expanding your inventory. :thumb:

@00zeRO: Congratulations! This is a nice coup for MK. It might be good if you could also eventually carry RF and HHKB, but I understand there may be business and ethical reasons for this not happening.

Pardon my noobness and slightly derailing the thread, but what would a custom Filco plate do for us (in the general sense), and for what model Filco(s)?

It could make it where you could do switch top removal without de-soldering.

So if I'm understanding correct, the custom plate would essentially give you tool clearance to remove the upper part of the switch? Or is there more involved?

If you install the new custom plate (by desoldering everything and then resoldering), for any future modding you do you will have clearance to open up the switch tops while installed on the plate.

Can you purchase just a KOBO frame or do you have to purchase a compatible keyboard with frame?

The KOBO frames are only available as an in-house frame swap with the purchase of a Filco keyboard.

Looks like I'll have to buy more Filcos.... oh darn. Is there a lead time from Filco or do you have the listed frames (in the drop downs) in stock?

Lead time is one extra day max...as for frames, we should have them all in stock currently.

I've been trying to find the white one for a while. I thought it never existed.

Fullsize with black switches is arriving soon (between Sep 19th and Oct 7th). Official Filco site says TKL is current product also.
But no Red/Pink switches from looks of it.
Edit: Insanely quick response from Diatec. They intend to stock Multicam Reds in some months.  :)
