Welcome to the first interest check post for the Roses/バラ V1 Board!

The Roses/バラ V1 is an Alice Style Layout with arrow keys and 3 additional right-side macro keys or 2 keys and a rotary encoder!

The Roses/バラ V1 comes with a completely customizable OLED Display (pre-baked functions below).

Typing Angle: 5°

Layout: Alice Style + Arrow Keys & 3 Added Keys

PCB: Custom Black with QMK & VIA Support

Screen: SSD1306 OLED 128x64 (Rotated Vertical)

Mount: Top Mount with optional o-ring add-on

Stabilizer Support: PCB Mount

Layout Options: Split Backspace, one encoder or no encoder

Material: 6061 Full aluminum

Full Pates: (Not confirmed) Aluminum, FR4, POM, Carbon Fiber.

Case Colors: (Not confirmed) EWhite, Matte Black, Gun Metal Grey, Red

Weight Colors: (Not confirmed) Stainless/Chrome, Full Crimson, Stainless Rose on Crimson, Crimson Rose on Stainless.

Weight Designs: Full design with large rose and name or minimal with just a small rose!!

OLED Screen Custom Features (Will be confirmed Before GB):

- Onboard Storage for up to 3 full layouts selectable via onboard Screen

- 'On the fly' Key remapping via onboard Screen

I'm curious why you skipped on the right hand B.  Was it because you built off the Arisu and didn't want to tweak the layout?

That plate looks suspiciously similar to open source acrylic files. I suggest you put some more refined design into stabs cut-out.

Are you going to have any prototypes?  I would love to see some protos, and like tree mentioned, it would be nice to know how the back is going to be done.

Yo, this looks nice! The key remapping feature sounds pretty neat. 

I'd like to suggest a dark or forest green case colour. I think it would look nice, and would go with well the theme of the design.

Also the only thing I'm not too fond of is the japanese characters on the bottom of the case. I think it would look a bit cleaner with just the rose imo, especially with them already present on the top of the case.

This looks very interesting and I am interested.

My questions are:
- Can we get a render with Crimson/Blue colors? They were mentioned in Form and it could really sway my decision.
- From right B user: please consider adding second B.
- From both post and form it is not exactly clear whether encoder is optional. IMO most of the time, encoder doesn't fit and ruins the whole visual aesthetic. Is this optional?

Thanks everyone for your feedback so far!!
An Initial over the IC Form shows that there is a good amount of people requesting a right-hand B key, so we are looking at splitting the right shift to allow that option!
I am also going to make a more minimal option for the base plate and see where it goes from there!

I still have some reading to do so if ive missed your comment I promise I will get to it soon!!

Yes there will be prototypes! I have announced on discord a minimal base version, however the big one is a 2 piece design with the weight slotting into the base plate :)

Please, please please, give the back some sort of angle of flare. Otherwise it just looks like a brick. This needs more than just a bottom to stand out from others and features. A keyboard is art too.
Personally I would prefer a 6° angle however this is preference.

The large rose design is awesome. HOWEVER it it is terribly off balance in its design. One side remains too heavy. By rotating the design and removing the stem without removing the stem leaves you should be able to obtain a better balance.

I've said this before, but I love everything about the board except the font choice. I feel like a more classic font would be nice, but if that's solidified then I completely understand.
