KLE tends to lighten up all the key colors. The plastic chip I have will look like the renders in regular room lighting, but in brighter lighting it gets a lot more purple. But I agree with you a lighter purple does look better, I'll try to find a Pantone color that more closely resembles the KLE color. Thanks for your feedback!

It's super weird to me that "Super" and "Code" seem to be the agreed-upon versions of this key when, like, "OS" seems like it'd be the clearest, most accurate legend

Obviously that doesn't get into the fact we almost never get an "Option" key (I'm fine with "Alt" there, moreso than the other key we're talking about)

I've updated the dark blue-purple to 2695C which is slightly slightly lighter and more purple. Not as light as the KLE images but it feels like a good balance!

Love the dark purple with light alphas. I'm interested for sure. I am kind of wondering what the light set would look like with one simple green accent. In the art, the highlights of the girl's hair got me thinking. Maybe the symbols on the number row could be green? I'm not sure what manufacturing process you're planning on using here (maybe I can't read).

Yes!! Macross 82-99 artwork was absolutely the inspiration for the colors here. I will be adding an icon mods kit and potentially an alphas kit with hiragana because a lot of people have been asking for that in the IC form (almost 1/4 of responses).

Received the dark purple 2695C chip from Pantone today, looks perfect! Definitely more in line with my original vision.

Based on the demand, I've added a hiragana alphas add on kit based on the Kobe kit from MiTo's Laser keyset, with a few additional keys for a functional JIS layout. This should give an idea of how the hiragana kit would look with the icon mods:



Base kit will keep basic ISO support, but additional keys would have to be in a separate kit, as the color coordination for different bottom rows means there's already a number of extra keys. Please fill out the interest check form with a comment if you'd like a NorDeUK kit (or other kits), as that's how I'll judge the demand. Thank you for understanding!

The color pattern is pink, light pink, yellow, light blue and I applied that to the most common bottom rows. Unconventional bottom rows are unlikely to get the proper pattern unless more people request it ):

The longer wait does make sure we can make the keyset and its collateral as good as can be. And that includes getting a head start on color matching which can take some time!

The light alphas use the same stock WS1 color as GMK Minimal and others which is more bright and neutral, while VoC uses WS4 which is more creamy/eggy.

Ursa ISO orders: 23.4% of Base.

One theory: Ursa had novelty ISO enter keys, Olivia++ did not.

Disagree. GMK Dark (not gonna make it), Nautilus nightmares (didn't make MOQ, only made because drop), SA Yuri (whew), Carbon R2, SA Sunday morning (didn't make MOQ), Jamon, Oblivion V2, and Olivia++ show it's under 5% of the base kit orders, and it's often about 3%. I'm sad about this decision but it's an understandable one. Some sets have 25/30 MOQ for less popular kits. I guess that's not the case here.

Update: Want to be transparent, the Mac kit as is would retail for over $50 based on GMKs quote, nobody wants to pay that for just 4 keys. Could just do text mods or only icon mods and request a requote, but if they don’t get back to us in time, or we can’t get the price down enough, Mac kit won’t be happening. Hope you all can understand.

Update 2: Thought about it for a long while, text only or icon only would just alienate the other, so we won’t be running it. Sets like MoDo Light are able to more easily fit in a Mac kit because they only need to cater to text only.

For reference GMK Oblivion base was also priced $145 @ 250 MOQ and GMK Dracula $135 @ 500 MOQ I believe, but we don't expect to do nearly as well as either of them. 😫

Price is ok as long as you only need base, and maybe spacebars. If you're a 40's user you should definitely pick up a set of alphas to kit out a second board. That would lead to a price of $137,5 or $145 per set, depending on wether you want kobe or light alphas. Still the upfront cost is hefty. My main concern is finding a suitable keyboard to pair this set with. Obviously the dream board would be something with that deep purple as pictured in the renders, but that obviously doesn't exist (I've always wondered why this is a thing). Let's see if the new renders are convincing.
