Reddit permanent ban

(1/3) > >>

Hi everyone, It was a frustrating day when my Reddit account got permanently banned for spamming PM. I only used it for PMing sellers in the Reddit merch market community. Sellers post what they have and it is the rule that I have to use PM to PM them first to ask for those items. I don't use it for any outside purpose. I don't post comments on communities besides merch market, which is just two letters "PM". I only PM about 2-3 users every two days, sometimes 0 in a week. Reddit wrongly pointed out that the most recent PM messages on my account were since March. But I was having trades with a seller through PM just a few days ago. Now I cannot reply to that user while waiting for the shipping, leaving them confused, but also my money was gone through Paypal G&S before. I have filed an appeal but there is no response. Does someone know how to contact the mods?
Thanks for reading!

Mods are super aggressive and petty on Reddit, and I think there is an unspoken policy to never reverse any perma ban no matter the situation because it makes them look wrong. If it is a permanent account suspension your chances are less than 0%. If it is just a sub ban you can try messaging the mods of that sub or submitting an appeal, but it is likely they will see this as an aggression and mute you from being able to contact them again without any further explanation or discourse.

I'd say you've been blessed. Forget Reddit and move on, it is a cesspool full of corrupt mods that have no leashes or consequences. Reddit mods answer to no one, and do not care about the damage they cause to people's lives.

Interesting to hear. I have been to Reddit a few times over the years, but it always seemed to be inscrutable and opaque.
Having never been able to extract anything useful there, I stopped trying.

Reddit isn't so bad if you are looking for general questions, but reddit as a platform sucks for this if you get what I'm mean. The answers are there, you just have to find them with a search engine, so like you write your question into google and then put reddit at the end and it should answer your question. I basically do this more than actual google searches cause google by itself doesn't give that good answers.

Very few subreddits are good at all, and the good ones are all kinda niche, once a subreddit gets big it gets so disconnected from actual discussion a lot of the times it's not worth checking out anymore.
