Hi MiMiC,

Are you able to make a Model M cable that is curly, with an USB plug?

I was wondering the same, can you make coiled cables?

Sorry for the delay, I missed this.

Are you looking for a sleeved curly cable or just curly?  If just curly, I would recommend cutting me out of the loop, buying a cable direct from orihalcon and using one of the online guides to make curly cables.

Hi, my bad for the confusing terminology. I meant a curly/coiled cable.

Would like to have a coiled cable similar to this one, that is sleeved. Can this be done?

With the proper SDL to USB connectors.

Yes, what I would do is take a orihalcon cable, remove the usb end, sleeve, reattach end and then curl from there.  I don't make sdl from scratch because the tools are super expensive for a niche product.

I'm looking for the same for a Soarer mod of an F-122.  My plan was to start with a new coiled cable from Unicomp, and replace the ends with USB A/B male connectors.  (And use the Teensy bulkhead Mini USB/B female cable internally.)

Are the male USB connectors available from Mouser or equivalent?  Or do they require tooling to do the re-termination?

I got an orihalcon cable sent to Zeal and he did a coil on that.
The only problem with that was he didn't have a model M to test the thing with, however mine turned out really well.
