Aug 2020 Shipping update (finally)
We have had success with our test packages to the USA, which means all 32 unshipped USA units will be sent out in the next 10 days.
I'm covering all excess shipping costs out of pocket (rates are WAY higher than originally quoted in 2019)

If you are in Asia, your batch will likely be sent next, followed by Oceania and finally EU (you guys will have to wait a while sadly)

Nov 27 2019 -
All PCBs flashed and tested
All units qced and ano matched - we have enough units to ship all of GB units, extras will be around after everyone has received their iS0s
As for extras, colors are not yet confirmed - this will depend on which units can be reworked, and which will have to be scrapped
The hard cases shipped to us were amazing, with a snug fitting foam to keep your iS0 safe, but they forgot to print my damn logo on them
As a result, we have ordered another batch of cases, with printing this time in order to save time shipping back n forth
Bumpons are also still in transit, as the bumpons delivered had a rounded bottom instead of a flat bottom, and that won't work for iS0

tldr; everything checked, good to go, waiting for bumpons and hard cases - units are ready to ship pending those and will go out in December. Once all GB units are received, information about extras will be available

PCB manu has finished the round of prototype PCBs with the new top-side reset switch..(pics in latest post)

These should be en-route to sennin soon to verify the new layout works, then the rest of PCB production will start after that

Main manu and pcb fab have finally been paid - We had to do a fair bit of juggling in order to avoid using HK banks due to the current stuff going on there.

As we have changed the pcb design to offer a top-side reset switch, we will be doing a prototype round of pcbs to test this before doing the production run for the safety of everyone (doing this was not cheap)

Manu and PCB will deliver mid to late Oct - Will update when I have an update on the hard case situation

The 8 month estimate is to prevent the usual “4 month” estimated timeline that ends up being 8 months anyways. We want to take our time and deliver the most beautiful looking keyboard we can, its likely we end up shipping before then, who knows

The $69.99 price may seem high, but in reality, we will more than likely lose money on this group buy. The chosen manufacturer is very high end (I’ll refrain from name dropping, but they produce some very high end keyboards you’ve seen) And the quality control and packaging doesn’t help the fact either. In any case, the goal is to make everyone happy

Yes, we know this project is silly/dumb. It’s not for everyone, but we hope it’s for you!

Does the first picture (render?) still represent the real colors of end products?

In 2nd photo, if they are the samples, the colors look quite washed out - just compare the red to the red of the first photo.


And then, the colors blue, grey, and black look very similar to my eye in the photo.

Yeah the colors are super hard to capture, the renders are the closest thing in terms of real colors, they were compared to the real units on a color corrected display

I can share the Pantones but you have to understand how ano color vs print color are very different

Everything should be ready when I get there except the printed hard cases
Those might be delayed until after I finish my 1 week stay, but everything should be qced and flashed in advance

As expected, the hard cases won't make it here in time so Sennin will pack em and ship when the cases arrive
All pcbs have been flashed and tested
All black units have been qced and reassembled with nicer screws
Will finish all major qc and ano matching in the next 3 days for the remaining colors

Your iS0s may arrive a little bit dirty, as I'm qcing in a garage so there might be some smol fingerprints and minor nail marks, just give them a once over with a damp cloth and they'll be good to go

EU, NZ and AUS are the worst affected by shipping issues. I'm unsure about EU and NZ but the two that they sent out to AUS both were lost. So can't really say when they will ship, but they did say that those three regions will be the last of the last to be sent.

I've seen them update tracking up to a week later. But no worries, if you have a tracking number, its coming!

I'm still not starting the extras sale until all GB units have shipped. We've had a few returns and some potentially lost units (these would impact the total amount of extras available)

For the time being (mostly) every country that Taiwan can ship to - has been shipped their units.

For the rest of you, it's a waiting game - as soon as shipping restrictions lift, I'll get the remaining units out and we can finally see about that extras raffle!
