No, that's what makes this great. Well, part of it will be plastic, but it's a mix of die-cast and plastic. Soul of Chogokin line is pretty much the premier; it mixes die-cast and plastic, and tries to adhere to the original robots in the show as closely as possible while making it functional. So it will be as articulated and accessory-filled as possible while still being combine-able.
If you need an analogy, think of the Soul of Chogokin line akin to any genuine Bro/Clack/etc., and the Legacy Collection to a K3KC knock-off.

I forgot: I used to have their Evangelion figures. They're considered the best version of the TV versions, even if I thought the die-cast added a little too much weight.
