My first thought is to use the sandwich bag fix.

Maybe someone else has a better idea but I think the sandwich bag would work.

As its coming up to christmas I wondered if I could ask for a update on when to expect the sliders, do you think January is realistic?

Layers of Plastic Shopping Bag my friends.

That will firm up the hold quite a bit. I had a lot of wobble on some of my keys and it helps significantly, but with my case style its very hard to make it not visible at all.

I sort of had this issue with keys with costar stabs. I just cut a small square piece of tape and put it on top of the stem. Seemed to work for me.

I would still try to take a small square piece of tape and put it on the 3 stem cut outs of the cap.

Hey Guys!

Im not up to date with the status on the Topre sliders...
(havent been much on GH lately unfortunately =/)

I received my order quite a while ago, but realized its missing the sliders.

I remember Bunny mentioning issues with the sliders originally and asking if he should sent out all sets right away, or wait for sliders so everything could be shipped together.

Since I ordered with sliders but only received Caps (no sliders), Im wondering if its a mistake, or if everyone is still waiting on them?!

Did everyone else receive there sliders yet? Should I message Sir BunnyLake? O=

Not as mistake, no sliders have shipped, I know Bunny is busy as hell at the minute but I think still waiting for these to land, as soon as they're in hand they'll be on their way out  :-* soon :D
unless they have some unforeseeable downside (like they're actually made of cream cheese cunningly disguised as ABS)

Kind of off topic, it was probably answered, and I feel like I remember reading it but can't remember....but - what color are the sliders from this buy going to be?  And will the regularly stocked sliders be the same color?  Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask.  :)

orange, blue, green, and pink were the color options I think. They said they would post up a form to let us pick the color we want but it hasn't been posted up. Hopefully sliders are finished up soon, would love to put the keyset to use :)

I think I saw something previously about JTK giving legacy support to those that supported the debut GB.

Edit: Scratch that. Legacy support is only for the fixes. See page 33

I know it's been asked multiple times now and I believe you have some yourself judging by your HHKB but anyway could we/I get a update on when to expect getting the sliders as it's been a while now and I understand you needed to remake some but I would like a rough timeframe which I don't think/hope is too much trouble to ask for, thanks again bunny.

I hate to jump on this as well seeing as Bunny surely is very busy with his other stuff right now, but I would really like to know what the hold up is this time too.
Anyway, happy holidays to the ctrl.alt crew and family. Hope you're all doing well.

It's a known issue, and we're supposed to get replacements eventually.  The wrong mold was used for that key, and it wasn't noticed until it was too late, it seems.

they are currently being worked on and tested, the exact issue is less to do with the slider design, and more that as the larger keycaps like backspace have stabilized stems, they have clearance issues with the raised parts on topre boards for the relevant keys, so in the original form they work just fine if you clip the stabilized stems on those caps, but obviously we didnt want people to do any self modding, particularly then rendering those couple of caps useless on mx boards

so we are actively tweeking and testing those caps, as some of you may have seen, ach time we make a change, that needs to be tested and then signed off on, we arent going to put out an inferior product, as mentioned before its down to just one of the larger stabilized keys now, that only effects realforce boards, as soon as its done it takes no time at all to run them off, and ill give an exact date as soon as i possibly can

Sliders are used to make keycaps that are meant for mx switches compatible with topre.

Ok, thanks for the update.  I also had a retro order (though already received that, sans the lime kit).

There should be once the group buy ones up out first but if you read up they have had some setbacks so none have shipped at all

Just picked up a set of the purple on the secondary market, and wanted to share some quick thoughts.

- The legend thickness is crazy inconsistent on my set. I can take some pictures if folks would like. Some like Q, G, and M have very thick legends, others like C have very thin ones. Is this something that will be looked at for future rounds or did I just get unlucky?

- The feel is great, quite comparable to GMK. Maybe ever so slightly heavier.

- Really enjoy the crispness of the colorway, well-chosen.

- Also really appreciate that there are options to avoid having F5-F8 in alternate colors, I realize many prefer swapping those but personally I've always hated the look. So big  :thumb: from me for including that option.

- It's odd to me that numpad 5 has a homing bump while F/J have scoops, but I never use numpad so not sure how standard this is. But, might put one together eventually and that would discourage me from using this set for it. Highly prefer scoops for cherry profile sets.

Other than that, very impressive set! Really enjoying mine so far.

Anyone know how to fix my enter key?

Or if this is even fixable?
My first thought is to use the sandwich bag fix.

Maybe someone else has a better idea but I think the sandwich bag would work.

just put some tape on it to make it tighter and clean that board

Why do you bother about the enter while you are typing on that dense dirt layer.
