No ISO/1800 or 68%/75% support? Is there a chance you could add those keys?

The Q@ is a nice touch; but, being a non standard layout user this does not fit my needs, good luck with the set, its pricing is not bad for a basic coverage set.

OMG

May I suggest to expand greatly your public by adding a very small and simple addon, which could include F, J and 5 with homing bare, plus ISO keys?

I'm sure that it would amount to only $5. I would be happy to buy more than one  ;D

1800 support would be very nice, but I don't know how many keys are required.

I dunno, the OP may enlighten us on it, for me, it is just a nice novelty key cap.

Yeah, and obviously I would remove the q@, keeping only thea standard, and very loved, q.

Maybe your interest is to leave the set as is, and taking some suggestions for an addon?

I'm sure that there are many elders that are willing to give some suggestions about this matter.

I believe Q@ is a standard legend on German ISO layouts.

1800 support would be very nice, but I don't know how many keys are required.

At a bare minium, to support WKL 1800 layout (1.5u mods), 6 extra keys is required over the base set offered here: R1 Delete, End and Pg Dn, R2 1u Minus key (-), R3 1u Plus key (+), and R4 1u Zero/Insert key.

<snip unrelated>

How does it differ from a normal Q key? and why is it modifier coloured?

It is very interesting to see how many are interested in this set, just because it is Dolch, even when it does not include what most recent GMK buys do.

On a German ISO keyboard, pressing AltGr+Q will produce @. It differs from a normal Q key in that it has a @ sign on it  :p

I don't believe there's any other differences apart from that, and probably the only reason it was included in this set is for the novelty value (and the extra dash of colour, obviously). I personally quite like it, but it's not strictly necessary for the sake of the set, it's GB runner's discretion.

As for the additional keys, since this set is being run by the Chinese MK community, I'm not sure how feasible it is for the GB runner to add the extra keys, since the majority of the orders will probably come from the Chinese side of the GB, adding keys would basically make everyone else subsidise the small subset of people who wants 1800 coverage. I don't know how popular the 1800 layout is in China, probably not that common since a lot of Chinese buys only caters to full/TKL with allowances for difference bottom row configs.

Isn't support for HHKB/winkeyless at least, kind of standard now? I'd be interested but I just couldn't use this.

That's a neat idea to add some character to the board. I think it'll look good.

I know this is probably late to be asking for, but I would like to see a dark grey |\ key as well, and really wish this set had Symbols for Shift, caps lock, enter, etc. that's my favorite look for Cherry profile stuff. Keep us update on how many join! I'll be watching this for sure.

This GB appears to be just a window for a Chinese buy, so it did not get proper consulting here, that is why it is mostly an standard set.

I believe this is correct. This seems to be the international proxy of the currently running zFrontier GMK Dolch buy

Agreed. The keys shown are what you'll get and this won't change. All he's doing is collecting orders from geekhack.

There's been a couple of GMK Dolch buy, the one on Originative in 2013 and another one by Ivan in 2014. There's a few differences between them, but I believe Originative kits includes a few Esc keys with different legends, and the Ivan kit includes front-printed ISO-UK legends.

That's what I thought :-) but I think that it would be quite simple for them - under each aspect - to add some keys in an addon.

That depends on how popular non-standard form factors are valued in the Chinese market, and frankly I'm not so convinced.

Given that this set will happen anyway, I wonder if there is someone interested in running a group buy for the addon set??

Obviously it would be way cheaper if the OP could be the one to run it :-)

I want to buy a set of GMK Dolch. I'll wait until something shows up on Massdrop or another webstore.

Don't want to get burned by another failed group buy.

Are you ripster? There's no way that you're gonna get burned.
