After organizing the 1st MN meet up, I said I wouldn't organize the 2nd. But I need help with pulling keycaps from all these MY7000 boards so here we are.


Seeing as this is almost exactly a year since the 1st MN GH meet up, we'll call this the 2nd Annual MN GH meet up & keycap pulling get together


WHO: GH/DT/reddit/what ever members or friends want to attend and help
WHAT: 2nd Annual MN GH meet up & keycap pulling get together
WHEN: May 5th starting at 2PM and go until how ever long people want to stay. If people are still there at 6 and planning to stay longer, I can order in pizza from Jimmy's or somewhere else.
WHERE: West of Plymouth at my work office. Got approval to use the big training room on the weekend

For the WI people SmallFry & Beast, someone else has offered up an alternative location more on the east side of the twin cities that would cut off ~50minutes drive time each way. The location wouldn't be as nice (its an actual warehouse), so we're not going to use it unless it means that both of you would be attending then

I recently made the trip from Minneapolis to Cincinnati, and I can confirm that it is really far.  Certainly doable if you love driving, but it's a long one.

I have tentative plans to go to Eau Claire on the 5th early in the morning and I'm not sure when I'll be getting back.  I personally would prefer later on the 4th, but the plans do not need to be altered for me.  I will get back with a more clear answer regarding the 5th asap.

I was also fascinated by the 87lb poker.  That thing is so solid...

Guggup: That steel poker is pure craziness with how much it weights. It puts anything else i've ever touched to shame for being a brick. The GHSS is pretty sweet too, which i'd never seen in real life. That green color on there is so nice


OJ: The SSK he has is really nice and my favorite M i've seen (sorry Ed). The Sanctuary caps are pretty sweet too, glad you finally got them and wishing I had some too if it wasn't for all the drama


HoffmanMyster: not much to say about a WASD that hasn't been said before. Looking forward to seeing your LZ-GH at the next meet up though!

The original WNV-Teamwork, 3494, and 3600 are THE boards the WNV keys match perfectly. I just wish I could find a 3600...

Topre feels like old Microsoft rubber dome keyboards... I'm glad I never bought one.

I didn't notice that. I DID however notice that my NIB and bolt-modded 1390120 was the stiffest/crispest BS board there. Older IS better, all those newer ones felt limp and soggy to me. I still need to finish bolt-modding my NIB 1390131... That thing's STILL sitting there in pieces...

actually, the 1st beta group and i have all come to the same conclusion. the first build method i came up with is simply not rigid enough. fixing it in rev 0.2

Yeah, Ed's was definitely more "Solid" feeling than the revival SSK. However, the NIB M's switches are just too heavy for my 'wimpy' fingers according to Ed. xD. I still prefer the unicomp hammers over the original IBM ones. I'm excited to see what you have in store for us Kawa with v .2!

I don't think it's just the fact that my M's are NIB, but the fact that they are the OLD IBM ones. The 120 is from 86, the 131 is from 87.

How is the ssk.ℜ held together anyway? I'm too lazy to search.
