Hoping to look similar to the R1 purple singa:



Should be available for plate, insert and case. Just bug quantrik if you need to make changes.

Eh, I don't think the hachi symbol really fills out the area well enough. I really liked the design of the Kyuu but artists gotta art I guess. I mean given how people buy up Japanese syllabary keycaps like they're addicts I don't really see why it is so hard to find a decently designed metal keyboard frame with a ****ing hiragana on it to go with my ****ing Laser set that I don't have to stalk the forums over and over and follow for months on end and jesus christ the salt is real. All I am wanting is a case and PCB for my holy pandas.  :'(

Got the sakurios I was waiting for so built my Kyuu today! I think the holes in the plate for the spacebar stabs are a bit off as I had to give it a bit of pressure to get them through.

Order came missing some of the screws that secure the plate to the top frame. Anyone know what these are so I can pick up a few?

This was not an oversight fwiw- you don't need to add screws to the top (sandwich)

(sorry, I don't have the size if you'd like to add them anyway)

Kyuu means "9" in Japanese. Can anyone tell me why it is named Kyuu? I like the keyboard and I'm trying to understand the name!

Kyuu sounds like Q which is the first letter in my screen name "Quantrik".

As to another GB, thats up to quantrik to decide - I think he is doing 9 iterations of these boards, Nana or Haachi being next.

I would say keep your eyes on the ICs and GB threads here or hangout in quantrik's discord to get updates even faster.

he's working his way down from kyuu (nine) to ichi (one), so hachi (eight) will be next in the series. he has a prototype of the hachi so there are some photos floating around.
