Still trying to contact UK Mail, Keyboard .co have stopped replying to my emails and are not answering any of my calls.

to be fair, Keyboard.co would have nothing to do with it. So long as they shipped it out their end of the bargain is fufilled. They're probably ignoring you

The first time it might take a couple of hours.

After that, less than an hour.

Get a fresh pack of floss and be careful to handle it as little as possible and keep it straight. After it gets "fluffed up" it never goes in properly.

You also want to avoid segments that are not fluffed properly or are kinked from how they are folded in the box.

There is a barrel ("chimney" in Unicomp parlance) on the left side of the spacebar that does not have a spring. It really doesn't do anything, except maybe provide a bit of alignment when the spacebar is in the "down" position. It might have been intended as a secret key at one time, next time I open up a Model M I may look at it more closely.

Not really, especially because while typing, you are only pressing one key at a time. The largest problem I've had with using my friend's Unicomp (other than a bad membrane on the s key) was just the placement of the nub on his EnduroPro.
