Title: My DIY SA Ice Cap legend (2u DELETE)
Post by: swedishpiehole on Thu, 21 November 2019, 14:29:41
[attach=1]

Since SP doesn't make a 2u DELETE I decided to do it myself. Since the font they use (Gorton Modified) doesn't exist as a computer typeface, I used Gotham Rounded and tweaked the letters and spacing using Illustrator until the result looked close enough to satisfy me. The "E" needed the most work. I decreased the width and raised the middle line slightly. Then I printed on transparent label paper and stuck it on a blank 2u SA Ice Cap.
The label will probably pick up dirt and or start to peel off at some point, but since I don't use that key all that much, it should hold up for long enough and I can just replace it as necessary.

Good work, I can't see the edges of the sticker and the font is very close too :thumb:

That's pretty cool. Is the Key-Cap made from PBT? if so you can probably pay someone to dye sub it for you.

Interesting idea, but that seems like overkill for one key. So far the sticker is holding up fine and it blends in perfectly!
