Ordered orange pcb and orange plate. Anyone know how can I get orange aluminium case that will match this pcb and plates?
The TEX aluminium case in orange will fit the plate pretty good.

Do you know how can I get that case other than joining Massdrop? it is not available on mass drop right now?
I like mechanical keyboards

the massdrop case wouldn't look nice with the hhkb plate right?
Corners would look weird

I was looking at the Tex 60% aluminum cases: https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=629

I have a blue one for my Danger Zone set and it looks really nice. It is pretty much a flat bottom case, so really uncomfortable to type with unless you have a good wrist rest.

I like having an angled case

Tex aluminum cases can come with feet to angle it, so that won't be a concern.

Do you know where to buy the feet? I have not seen them listed anywhere to purchase.

I don't know about feet separately, but I have seen many listings for Tex cases with feet in classified listings on GH, /r/mechmarket, etc.

SEPA payments =
(advantage) Not paying the 4% that will be added on to your order to cover PayPal transaction fees
+
(disadvantage) Losing Paypal's buyer protection

How is the quality on those? I have seen some of those CNC cases be pretty poor quality.

Thanks, also, the HHKB plate has the exact HHKB layout except for the 7u spacebar instead of a 6u spacebar.

Can the HHKB plate be used for a standard layout except for the bottom row,  I mean standard backspace, standard right shift, just the HHKB style bottom row?
Or is it true HHKB layout only?

Also, do the plates (HHKB and Universal) feature switch top removal?

And is it correct, that I have to fill in zeros on everything I don't want to buy?

You can have an HHKB with normal shifts and normal backspace.

Yes they have switch top removal and yes, you need to add zeros.

I don't know if my order submitted or not. I hit submit or whatever it is at the very end but my internet likes to cut in and out and after that it just gave me a blank page. I guess we'll see in a little bit. Just a simple order for black HHKB, black PCB, and a stab.
Got your order :)

Sorry for being picky* but, in the PCB counter, would you change the second column to black to match the PCB color?

My coworker thinks I am an idiot for collecting keyboards/keycaps. The same guy who collects guns. I am certain I get a lot more use out of my keyboards than he does out of his guns.

temped to sell my steel plate from GB#3 and get an HHKB plate from this buy...

Is there a benefit to HHKB layout besides looking cool? (ease of use, ergonomics... etc)

There are many threads and reviews about the HHKB already, that I think there is no need to revisit the subject here; however, there is a small piece of information that I think has not been discussed before about the layout, it has to do with the empty spaces at the bottom, they allow to have six corners instead of four, and each one is an easy to find spot that speeds up the activation of the keys located there. I have not thught on this much, but recently. I am using the layout at two boards, one at home, one at the office, and I noticed that after some weeks, the corners are very handy to speed up the activation of keys that was a bit harder to reach with the corner key caps installed. This fact may be the same for the winkey-less layout, that isolates the corners, but I prefer the aesthetics of the HHKB one. Regarding the second layer, I do not use the HHKB one but my own, using Space as FN key, so I cannot share any witness opinion on it and I do not use the backspace on top of the Enter either, I use the conventional 2u backspace at the top right corner, for the same reason I have explained, the corners are always easier to find by touch typing.

It would be great if you get it added to the ANSI HHKB plate, that would make it a very versatile plate, no one can let it to pass.
I do agree with ideus. An extra cutout for split left shift won't bother any ANSI user but would make a lot of ISOers happy.

Should just add support for 2.75u shift also then? The problem is that i can't order another set of samples, so i have to trust pure designs.

If you add the versatility of ISO plus splitted or full right shift to the HHKB plate it will be unique; as far as I know, it would be the only one with all those options, plus the cut outs to open the switches. It would rock.
Working on it.

Just double checking that the happy plate will have ISO/ANSI Enter options.

I misunderstood your "Working on it" replay to my comment then; my bad, I was hoping the plate will include the cutout to allow either Enter style.  :'(

I misunderstood your "Working on it" replay to my comment then; my bad, I was hoping the plate will include the cutout to allow either Enter style.  :'(
ISO shift support was what I was talking about.

I see, so you meant working on it for future versions of the plate?

No intention of adding ISO enter support. Probably not because we don't have time to do another sample.

No ISO shift will work for this GB. I don't wanna risk adding an ISO enter, because that is quite complex. I am not going to do more samples.
