OH, I just realized the space bar is not the same color as the alphas.  It's a light gray.  I guess that is a reference to the belts and elbow pads on the uniforms?

Indeed. Gives it a unique touch imo.

But then in the full set render it is the same creamy color as the alphas.  Which is correct?

Should all be the grey.

Hope to see more people getting active on this set.  The colors are so nice.  It's like a much more sophisticated take on cream cheese n green.

Let me get novelties done, i'm hoping that helps me hype it a bit more.

I'd cross the streams for some ghost trap novelties.

EDIT: Also... instead of "Meta" key, how about "Ecto?"  ;)

I get the space bar is thematic but I'd really like an alpha-color option

I tend to agree.

But speaking of thematic space bars, this one is on Massdrop right now.... and I keep eyeing it because it reminds me of the Ghost Trap....

Slimer would make a fabulous novelty!

Unfortunately it'd probably incur copyright issues to include him. Then again, might be worth contacting Universal to gauge possibility of permissions..? Thinking of the Star Trek set, which gained official approval; another example is XDA Scrabble. (Just wondering out loud here. I have zero idea myself how hard it is to jump such hoops and it may well be too difficult.)

So i've done a lot of research on trying to get official approval and I really don't think it'll happen. They don't even like fan sites to use official images on forums. I've sent out an email to WB (might be Sony, its been a minute and i don't remember which it was) about 2 months ago and haven't heard back, i'll try again soon.

Any new updates on this set?
I saw that Clackkeys is currently working on a Ghostbusters artisan keycap.
Good timing perhaps?

Any possibilities if Alphas and Mods can be offered as separate kits?  Makes purchasing more pleasing for those interested in 40% KBs only.

Sorry i haven't updated recently. I'm still working on this set, but i've just had some personal setbacks.

Better to get these figured out now before committing time to a GB. Stay tuned!

I thought I'd point out, in case any of you were unaware, that there is about 3 days left to get Clackey's Slimer artisan keycap.
It will be a great addition to pair with this set, when it comes out.

Agreed, would love to know. These are fantastic, really makes it easy to see what the set would look like in person.

I think the keyset is nice too -- fun theme, interesting colors (SA CCnG kinda?).

Yup, my mistake.

Who owns the rights to Ghostbusters IP? Now that we have official Star Trek and Star Wars sets, I wonder what the odds are of more ideas like this "going official".

I do love the newer MT3 profile, I have to admit. I don't know what can and can't be done in that profile right now, but I bet this set would look good in it too.
(And perhaps just as importantly, feel 'really good' using it. )

The MT3 profile is a very interesting one indeed, however there are some factors that don't make it as easy of a choice as SA

#1 Massdrop owns the tooling, any MT3 set will have to be a drop on their store.
#2 Doubleshot tooling is still being created for the recent Susuwatari set from matt3o, and the font chosen might not be everyone's choice for new sets.
#3 Due to #1, the time to get the set to GB phase could take easily just as long as the current SP SA production schedule is.

I'd say it's a lovely custom OD green that needs to get made!  Good to see action in the thread but sad that it's not the Thread Starter.   We'll just have to wait and see if he shows back up.

That enter is actually a dark navy. It's akin to the uniforms from GB2, I believe.
