regardless of how good or bad ohio, 'counsin or seattle are, they have one definite advantage over donetsk...
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

@Ivan: Man, well maybe you can find some place even better? I know university is starting soon and housing is kind of scarce, but the people who DO need roommates or sub-leases are starting to lower prices so it's kind of a high risk high reward situation. I really wish you luck man!

@Grim: At least August is soon! Yes I think tackling things piece-by-piece is best. Whenever I feel overworked at home I try keeping my house super clean in my free-time and that usually helps me feel better when it comes to long at-home assignments. Everyone has different stress-relief methods though, so ymmv. And yes, the busier you are the faster December comes!

I appreciate this comment. To be honest, I am not sure why I made such a serious reply all of a sudden.

I think I am going to take that advice about keeping the house clean. It gets pretty depressing if it looks a mess, like things are spiraling out of control. Thanks for that advice. Now that I started to think about things I can do to get rid of anxiety, I also think I should spend at least 1 hour outside every day.

What bothers me is that I'm more interested in deciding between a messenger bag and a backpack for my 17" MacBook instead of more important thoughts about business/career actions I should be taking in the next few weeks.

Plus, I can't decide between a messenger bag or a backpack :(

Stupid broken bones. Just finished recovering from breaking my ring finger and then I go and break the one right next to it at football practice. Dammit I just want to type again!
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

This. School starts in a week and the only spare SATA laptop drive I have working is a 160 gig drive, nowhere near large enough.

Guess I get to buy a hard drive this week.

Get an SSD and carry an external! I made the switch and I barely even bother with the external anymore.

Here's what's bothering me, this damn cast they gave me is itchy as hell and offers pretty much no protection.

ah, first world medicine. here i'd get a traditional organic, craft, green plaster cast.

The way it is applied is pretty cool, they soak it in warm water so it is pliable and then 2 minutes later it's rock solid.

Sucks way worse than my last finger break, this time I bent it back so far that the tendon snapped away from the joint. 4-6 weeks recovery time and the doc said no way can I play football till then. Pre-season training starts in less than a week :(

Actually thinking I'll get a SSD for boot and use a 320 I should have in the closet in a Lenovo 43N3412 adapter replacing the optical drive. An advantage to the T410 is there's official adapters for it as well as 3rd party ones.

Been meaning to do that with my E440, don't think I've used my DVD drive once in the year I've had my laptop.

Haha man I honestly have the worst luck ever. Couple of years ago I caught whooping cough. At the age of 27. And I'd been vaccinated twice.

Went home for lunch and accidently knocked my a5+ speaker over, letting it fall maybe 1 foot unto my glass desk landing exactly upside down. Made a huge BANG as it hit the table. Luckily it was the passive right one, but I am still upset. No apparent damage to desk or speakers, but I'm still worried. Didn't have enough time to run enough tests....I wish there was some kind of diagnosis tool for audio equipment.

Anyway its bothering me until I get home and can test it some more. :[

  :'( :-X  :( :blank:

I hope it's alright...   :-\

My feelings exactly! Should be okay...I couldn't find a perceptible difference between right and left speakers at idle, low and mid-volumes, so that's a good sign.

In my experience, it's pretty dang hard to break a speaker by dropping it like that, at least sound-wise.  You could dent or scratch the housing, but I don't see it affecting the sound.  Still not a fun time, but I wouldn't worry tooooo much.   :)

But sure, haven't we all dropped speakers before?

I'm really bothered I get to post here. I was bothered because I can't get to work the media keys on my 60% facew from sprit. It seems to work only in Windows, not in Mac... :(

I saw your posts in infiniti's thread. I will test with my 75% and see if I can find a solution for you.
