I never used O rings before, so I was looking up where buy them in Canada, I didn't find any sellers, and the American sellers were charging like $15 for a pack + $10 for shipping to Canada.
So I looked on AliExpress and did a search for O rings and found some 1.5 mm O rings for $2 and bought a pack:

I have no idea on the hardness (or softness) but i will see how they are when they get here.
9 days later they arrive, free shipping:
next to my Model M, but I will be using them on my Filco Cherry Browns
Pretty fast from across the ocean I must say, and you can't beat $2.56, sellers on this side of the planet were charging 6 x that amount of the same thing.
I tried them out on my Filco Tenkeyless, I added them to the Home/End island cluster of 6 keys, from my initial tests those keys were like 20 % quieter and had like 20 % less key travel.
I don't know if it is worth it, I didn't like the reduced key travel since I always bottom out when I type so I need the travel distance.
Maybe I should try it on the letter keys before jumping to conclusions?
What are you guy's opinions when it comes to O rings on Cherry switches?

When I shared an office with my wife, I went from Blues to Blacks to Blacks with O-Rings (which was finally "enough.") I felt like I was back on the road to a rubber dome, but not far enough to give up the Steel-plate gamer board I was using. I did, however, remove them promptly as soon as I got my own space.

I feel like O-rings are not effective. Silent Cherry switches or clones are the way to go.
