[IC] VA88/87M Porcelain Case

Hello Geekhack!

Here comes our first GH GB Interest Check:
As some of you maybe know, Varmilo offers a variety of interesting cases and products, some of you may be aware that they offer porcelain case keyboards that have pretty interesting artwork on them.
Since the MOQ is 30 keyboards, we thought it would be a great idea to do an Interest Check and listen out to what you guys think about them.

We so far know that there are 5 patters/arts that they provide and here they are:

We do not have any set price yet but should not be so expensive, we provide warranty with the keyboards and everything would be shipped from Europe, our home base Germany. This would be an official sale via our store.

You should be able to customise the Switches and LEDs, it can be possibly possible to change the keycaps as well.
Will provide more information soon...

Is there a price range?

Is it possible to change the patterns?

Is the case identical to the VA88/87Ms but just a different material?

I'd honestly pick up the 3rd or 5th one just for fun.

Price range should not be too high! Around 140 - 180, but maybe we can get a case only sale.
The patterns you mean whats drawn on the porcelain? I am not sure, would have to ask.
The case is identical but probably heavier

These are all fixed angle aren't they? there is no possibility of 0° or negative angle?

It's an interesting concept, and some of these look like they've been sticker bombed, so maybe plain one would be more appealing for anyone interested in the additional weight they may provide?

Do they sound different than aluminium or plastic cases?

For myself, I'm looking at ~65% boards anyway so wouldn't get another TKL until I've tried other things, but I do like the unconventional ideas

Are they actually porcelain (ceramic) or painted plastic? If they're actually ceramic, you better be careful never to drop your keyboard or it will shatter all hopes and dreams

Seems to be fully ceramic Would be surprised if it wasnt. Wouldnt it be really easy to break if it was just a top ceramic layer?

Hmmm.  I figured it would be a hard ceramic coating over steel or aluminum.  Kinda like ceramic coated cookware

I too do question the wisdom of making the whole case out of ceramic. I was expecting something like a cerakote finish or something similar.

We are going to be asking Varmilo if we can somehow cut down the MOQ, otherwise we do not think it can be reached, sadly... :/
