Lately there have been a nice number of interesting GMK group buys but sadly none of their designer offered R5 keycaps. While I totally understand they are quite unpopular, those of us around here who actually use them know how good they feel and how nice they look on our keyboards.
Because producing one add-on kit at a time would be quite expensive, my idea is to organize a collective GB with a reasonable number of kits from different schemes.
Since R5 keys are found on both sides of the spacebar, the MOQ for each colour scheme would be halved as an individual order would contain two of each key.
The keys to include would be: two
1.5u Control, two
1.5u Alt and two
1u Winkeys.
Granted that we gather enough interest, the steps to follow would be:
- Decide on what colour schemes to include;
- Ask their designers permission to use the colour scheme and the sets' names;
- Choose what to feature on the Winkey (either text or logo and eventually which);
- Ask GMK for a quote;
- Find a GB leader to collect money, place the order and then ship the keycaps out.
