Would be interested for real color equivalent as to:
  • GMK Stock Color? (I presume the black is GMK CR)
  • Pantone or RAL?

Since from the render alone I'm guessing the "White" used is GR1/T9?
GLWIC!

For IC Review I give this a Digiorno rating. I like the clean look but clearly can't touch type, if the price is reasonable this is a solid buy. I am interested what more development goes into this set like artisan collabs.

I honestly thought this would be a meme, but this is super clean.

+1 on not liking the barred homing keys. much rather prefer regular triangle with homing bumps. Super happy to see this having an IC though been waiting for this one after seeing he Geon renders.

inb4 you copied mito!!!
It was clever and well executed when GMK Dots did the 'non-blank blanks' thing. It was weak but barely passable when Mito gave his take on it. It's just lame and uninspired here.

Ah I was wondering if Geon was ever going to turn his triangle corner concept into a keycap set himself, since I kinda prefer it to Mitos Pixel. Kinda surprised he's not running it himself, but I guess he thought it's probably more effort than was worth his time, so kudos for trying to bring it from renders to reality.

Biggest issue I think is the barred homing keys design. I'll add my voice to the growing list people who dislike the current iteration of it.
I don't want my homing keys to stick out like a sore thumb. Their purpose is to guide my finger placement with its barred nature. There is nothing positionally interesting about them that warrants making its aesthetic differ so much from the rest of the alphas.

In case you didn't know, if you go via Geonworks instagram account, he's been using this design in his renders since July 2019, preceding Mitos' take on it.
Yeah it's not creatively complex, but does it have to be? I think this set achieves it simple purpose of being evocative of simple triangles.
The fact that it offers 4 mod and 2 alpha options is cool, and at least it is something different in affordable PBT, versus the N millionth GMK set.

looks like i'll be buying every kit available and still have them be equal to the price of 1 single GMK set

Really interesting design. I always love seeing new ways to legend keys like this and GMK Dots. Also really like the lines for the homing keys. Super cool look. Will be watching this.

Could you add another R2 1.5u key and R1 1u to the accents kits? That way you can fill out a full HHKB layout with it

Love the design, but, in sake of "parallel construction", shouldn't homing keys be different?
Perhaps a square in the corner, instead of triangle, or at least the line all the way at the top?

Thanks for bringing this!

Hope using Geekark will give us a really reasonable price (since their BOW is around $25-$30 as I heard?), instead of profiting from running this design and put up some mark up prices.

I liked this idea when I saw the renders on GEONs vanquish, and without reiterating everything bobasweatandtears just said, then I think this is great for a multitude of reasons:
  • Affordable manufacturer
  • Great kit options (dispite the very simple set)
  • Regional vendors
  • Deskmats that fit the set nicely
We need more IC's like this, even if somebody thinks the set itself is too dull or uninspiring. Great job :)

You dont even need deskmats for this to be good    ha
Any cheap good pbt is good. and the fact that Lightning is managing this makes me likely to buy it

It's amusing seeing designers try something new and community members go "oh it's boring / uninspired". You know what's boring and uninspired? Doing the same thing people expect day in day out.

Good job actually trying a new style of keycap sets. Ignore the haters.

Been waiting for this set.

However, just noticed that the alpha and mod kits have different sized triangles:

I feel like this is going to look quite messy. Would personally much prefer all keys to have the smaller triangles (the alphas just look a tad too big).

Also, agreed on the homing bars standing out way too much.

GLWIC, I think it looks super clean and the quality of the BoW set from :3ildcat's video looks pretty decent.

I agree the homing bar should be reconsidered. Personally I don't think the homing bar needs a visual representation as I think it detracts from the particular symmetry of the alpha and mod triangles.

Also, keen to know what the homing key options are - I think scooped and bar/nipple are enough.

Big agree with this. The triangles should have uniformity in their size across alphas and modifiers, otherwise it'll look weird. The homing bars are fine with me, esp with alternatives given with scooped homing keys.

I honestly think the most interesting use of Geon's Triangle concept is the way he implemented well known keysets' colors with it on his IG.
