it would be great if a single 1.5u R4 blank is added too (or 2)

For cherry profil blanks you have the Gateron blanks provided by shadovved right here that will provide you a lot of blanks that will match a classige beige set.

Also it is to be said again, this is not an interest check thread, photekq is just stating what will be in the upcoming GB, he's not taking inputs.

Thanks it's a good idea, I didn't consider using Cherry blanks from other manufacturers before

Although, If I decide to do it, I wouldn't color match, It's better to use a different color than a similar-color that doesn't 99%+ match the originals

I won't be adding anything at all to the set. The mockup in the OP is final (+ 2x blank 1.25u R4 keys not shown). What would you need blank R4 1.5u keys for anyway? HHKB layout?

I want it for a HHKB like layout, but 1.25 blanks work too, since there is additional space, 1.5 also opens up possibilities

Another usage is 1.5Alt + 1.5Blank winkeyless usage with osx - it's not something I'm going to use, but other people might like to use it in the future, in this scenario, the Control is bumped up to R3 with the 1.75 keycap that's already included

Right, I see. Makes sense. I won't be adding them to this one though. If you keep adding little things to cater to everyone it never ends. I feel the current set will allow most popular layouts to be used, even if the legends aren't 100% perfect for some of those layouts.

I agree, I think someone needs to do a GMK Blanks GB - with several blanks for most used base colors - would simplify things a lot

This.

If everything's set in stone I can't imagine bothering the organizers with requests. A separate GB for additional keys seems best.

Don't you guys understand this is all part of the experience?  If you want a "classic" and "well-aged" colorway, you have to wait a sufficient amount of time.  Otherwise it might as well be called the New Beige GB, and nobody wants that.

Good news!

Everything seems to be ready to go. I promised I would give roughly 1 weeks notice, and this is it.

So long as I don't discover any issues and so long as nothing changes, the GB will start in 1 week give or take a day or two.

Just as a recap, here are the final mockups :

7u and 6.25u spacebars in L9 will also be offered.

Pricing is as follows (changed slightly from last time as we will be having the sets presorted) :

Main set :
EU - £82.50 - 115EUR~
NON-EU - £72.50 - $112.50~
Extras set :
EU - £27.50 - 38.50EUR~
NON-EU £22.50 - $35~
Spacebars :
£2 - $3.1~ / 2.8EUR

As said before, EU is more expensive because the EU order sets will be shipped to me and VAT will have to be paid. However, you will pay no import charges, so you don't lose any money in the end!

Any questions please do post.

No. The price for the main set non-eu is just about the same as every other GMK GB. I'd be losing a tonne of money if it were that price incl. shipping.

I'm not sure I understand your answer. Is it included for the EU orders? If no, how much would the shipping fees be for EU order?

No, none of those prices are including shipping. I was just saying the non-EU set price is about the same as every other GMK buy. I specifically said non-EU since the EU orders are more expensive than most GMK buys due to VAT. Again, you pay no import charges if you're in the EU, so it will work out around the same price as if you were buying a set from a US-based buy if not a little cheaper.

Shipping to EU will cost £10 or something for like 1-3 sets I think.

Any chance you would consider moving the 1.75x Shift to the Main kit?

The current arrangement means that anyone who use a 60% with 1.75x R. Shift and 1x Fn would have to get the extra kits just for the two keys. It's kinda steep considering we only uses like half the keycaps of the main kit in the first place  :p

You can say that of the 4 iso keys aswell. You can say that of the 4 windowed lock keys too. Eventually you're left with no extra kit.

You have to draw the line somewhere. I deliberately tried to make the extra kit full of commonly used (but not as commonly as the regular keys in the main set) keys to ensure it would reach MOQ. I also wanted to keep the main set to the absolute core keys needed for 1.25 and 1.5 layouts. I even considered only having one type of winkey in the main set but it was apparent that there's a great deal of disagreement when it comes to those keys.

The key selection will remain the same. It's absolutely final and has been for a very long time. I've considered everything and thought out the sets very carefully. In my eyes it is as good and as sensible as can be. It should also be noted that I have taken input from various members of the community.

Please, please add a bumped F/J to the main kit, let's start making this a thing, the scooped one is not for everyone and the alphas are most probably the most important part of a kit as the modifiers can easily be outsourced one way or another (like CMYW or something)

(Edit: I'm going to join anyway, but probably going to join 2+ of each if the bump thing becomes a reality)

Please, please add a bumped F/J to the main kit, let's start making this a thing, the scooped one is not for everyone and the alphas are most probably the most important part of a kit as the modifiers can easily be outsourced one way or another
1. The sets are final. It's not just me being lazy at this point. It's not even me being stubborn (which I am, admittedly). It's because I'd need to contact GMK for a new quote, wait probably a week for a response, update the pricing, etc.. i.e more delays - the absolute last thing I want!

2. I lurk a lot. I also did a lot of looking around while working out the key selection. I don't want to toot my own horn but I generally know what people want in a keyset. I came to the conclusion that people who prefer bumped F/J are a tiny minority. When it comes to GMK buys you just can't cater to minorities (sorry demik). Sure, it's only two keys, right? Yes. It will barely affect the cost. But how about just adding two more? It's only two again, you did it for the F/J keys.. It all adds up. The line has to be drawn somewhere. I've drawn the line where the sets are now - they're both packed full of useful keys, and are incredibly juicy. I just don't think bumped F/J would add anything for the vast majority of people.

1. is far more important at this point though. 2. is more just why they aren't there already. Seriously.. I don't want more delays.

EDIT : Now.. if we hit 400 orders that's a different story. Then I can consider it.

Has this been asked? Is this set pre sorted by GMK aka Triumph Adler?
