I'm glad to share with you guys some pics of our next project: Blue-ringed Octopus. All of these keycaps are made by my friend Apostle, an artisan keycaps maker from China.

Some thoughts from the maker, Apostle:
Each keycap is made by hand and each one has its own different colors and distribution of blue rings.
About 3D-printed technique, I want to say this is a remarkable leap of craftsmanship. But the efforts it takes keep the same when the author still has to spend lots of time in front the screen. It's like doing the same thing just using different tools, that's it. While I think there's no big difference between hand-modeling and digital modeling cause the problem we are dealing with are exactly the same: materials, details, dimensions and so on. Actually, I feel it's a bigger challenge to make keycaps using digital modeling as more technique problems come up compare to the conventional way.
