First keyboard build
« on: Sun, 23 September 2018, 13:32:17 »
Hi

So i have decided to build my own keyboard after I brought my old filco to work last week and I already miss it  ;D

I will make the case myself, I have access to two brand new fanuc cnc wire edm machines and it will be a sandwich build made of aluminum and carbon to make it easy.

So question is should it be hand wired or a pcb build.
I have been looking at the phantom tkl pcb but if I choose to go with Phantom pcb instead of hand wiring i need dwg or dxf file with ISO layout, I dont know how to design it so that it will fit the Phantom pcb, does anyone know if I can get hold of it somewhere?

Sorry if my english is bad  :))

Can i use the preset 105 ISO in keyboard layout editor and just remove the numpad or can the spaces between the buttons differ from the phantom pcb?
I really just need the layout for the switch cutouts, I will be drawing the rest myself :)

You would need to check the spacing between the numbers and F row and between the main section and arrows etc. but generally speaking the ISO 105 is correct.

In trying to check the spacing I found this on the Deskthority wiki which claims to have the .dxf at the bottom - even easier :thumb:
