J'vis actuellement dans le même pays que toi ;)

I did not see if you mentioned it elsewhere; have you received your Novatouch yet? If not what's the ETA?

Haha je savais pas que tu étais en France aussi.

I did not receive my Novatouch yet. I think it is sitting in the post office atm. I just need to go there and pick it up.

Received the PBT set yesterday. Ordered on the 17/01, delivered on the 27/01. Damn that's fast considering it traveled from South Korea to France.

Indeed like I read on other comments depending on the light sometimes the keyset doesn't seem to have the same black as my keyboard. Maybe it is just the black of the set is lighter than we what we used to. But I like how the sound change a bit. It is definitely a bit deeper than with the stock ABS caps.

Does anyone have some shots of the navy blanks? How bright is the color?

The ebay photos actually make them look very close to black.

I put some pictures up over here.  They definitely look black but if you put them next to the actually-black ones you will see a difference.

Don't have the black ones with me at the moment.  I will try to remember to bring one to work tomorrow.  Unfortunately, white balance of pictures I take at home is quite bad due to my love of yellow lighting :))

Love these caps, by far my favorite ones. Now if only they used the font the Code uses...

I must respectfully disagree.  Unless he said something to indicate this is the case, I think it more likely he is just mixing the white and the navy set across two boards.

Oops you are correct sir! I forgot the set comes with more than one spacebar.

It'll use either the universal bar or the Leopold-specific one. The sets come with both (notice in my pic I'm using blue bars on the Poker and the 660M at the same time), so you'll be good to go.

The spacebar with the double stem was hard to put onto my Novatouch. I had to force his way in. At beginning I thought it wouldn't fit and it made me sad. I thought I would have to stick with the ABS but having a beautiful set of PBT caps nearby.

Black is on the right? It is hard to see the difference between the two colors to be honest.

Black in the one on the yellow keyboard.  Navy is the one on the blue numpad.

I still can't make my mind up if the Navy set will bother me or not (my keyboards are black). On some pics they look like very dark blue, on others like Vortex's dark grey.

Just pick the black. That's what I got and I love it so far. It is side printed but when the sun sets you get a blank keyboard if your place is not light that much.

However I had to force to put it onto my NT.

It's all dependent on the lighting conditions of your room - that's how dark they are.
If anything, they appear to be a slightly greyer value under warm light. Otherwise, the blue is more obvious.

Have tried GMK's Dolch Key-set (bought from Ivan) and the O-rings provided by CM is extremely useless and non-effectual.  Instead you have to learn to hold back the force of your typing because it's only 45g on these Novatouch's.

Nothing wrong with them just another type of keyboard that works better with a GMK set or even a BSP set.  Their original thin-walled garbage key-caps are terrible to use until you replace them all with a quality set Made in Germany  :thumb: .

The dolch was DSA-like profil? I believe the o-ring are useful when you use low profile keys.

Or JD's SA profile.  :p

What on Earth are you talking about?

I bought into Ivan's, GMK Dolch Group Buy BECAUSE I wanted to have a fully Made in Germany Key-set.  To me that is the ONLY Dolch set worth buying and using on any keyboard made yesterday or today  :thumb: .

Another key thing of note if using an SA Profiled Key-set there is no O-ring that works with it, because it's too high in profile for it to be used, besides really good typists don't need O-rings since they can control their fingers effectively without noise emanating from their keyboards.

IIRC, the NT o-ring are not for noise dampening but used in order to raise the low profile keys on this particular keyboard as it causes a problem in key travel. So I was interesting in dampening the sound but only asking if it makes a difference on this key set.

I'm happy that your Dolch key set suits you well.  ;)

I'm trying to find the BLACK (front-printed) set.
NAVY blanks are currently available on Ebay but I don't want NAVY, I think they look godawful ugly on the black keyboard.
Recently asked widebasket on ebay if he can order BLACK caps he just answered "out of stock".
These http://leopold.co.kr/?doc=cart/item.php&it_id=1404096898
I don't really know if they are available and google translate is useless with this site.
Is there anybody from Korea that can buy them and send them out?
Or at least make sure they are available and tell how to order them?
Or maybe someone just want to sell those caps?
I also voted on massdrop for them, if someone wants them too, please vote (for side-printed blacks):

I just got a FC900 and I must say that I do not particularly fancy these pbt caps, the texture is not to my liking.  I really like the smoothness of bsp and they are the best pbt caps I've tried so far.  Does anyone know which caps come closest to them in feeling?  I have some gateron caps (enjoypbt) coming in from Taobao which I hope will resemble bsp more than these leopold caps.  Others which I haven't tried are these https://www.massdrop.com/buy/vortex-pbt-keycaps but one would need to get them with side prints or blanks because I gather that laser edged legends can be felt.  Also I haven't tried the caps form Ivan's pbt runs, they are from vortex right?  I have pbt round 4 and dark second wave coming in, which are from vortex or gateron, and I also hope they are more like bsp's than these leopold caps.  Hopefully someone can enlighten me which of these I've mentioned are closest to bsp.

Also very similar set is here, I think it's actually a better version of leopold caps (some people say it's not cherry but rather a leopold profile).
http://www.geekkeys.com/geekkeys-black-blank-thick-pbt-full-keyset/
I'm currently considering buying it. But it's pretty pricey ($59.95). Costs almost $25 more than navy caps, including shipping.

Just don't get a set from Qtang,

He really F... me when i got a Leopold FC660M with mx clears a while ago..
The key-cap set that came with that buy was really really bad  >:D
if i had to describe the keycap printing method using "Deskthority" it would be "Laser Foamed"
(just take a look at the my pics)

So i had to buy an extra set for $50 on top of the $154 for the Leopold FC660M ..Adding custom fee and tax the total came well over €200..
For that $$ i could have gotten a Leopold Topre switches from Ebay.. So be careful with that Qtang guy...

The black front printed set is back on sale (was out of stock for about an year) http://www.ebay.com/itm/272166685744
Does it have a non-windowed and non-stepped capslock btw? Does it have non-windowed scrolllock and numlock as well?

hate to bring up an old thread, but does anyone know if the FC900s with Navy Front Print caps being sold at MK are pad printed or laser engraved?  The caps and boards being sold by widebasket say laser engraved, but the MK listing says pad printed.  I can't really tell from the ones I have from MK.

That's great! I thought the black sets would never come back in stock again, that took ages. Those PBT caps really are superb, better than Gaterons, the only downside being that there are not as many extra keys for nonstandard layouts.

yeah, these are really great caps.  with the price of a FC900 board at MK only $119 that really makes these boards a steal!  I already bought 4 of them and I am planning on swapping the switches out with Zealios.

I really just wish I knew if the ones I have are actually pad printed like it says on the MK website, or if they are laser printed like the boards and caps sold on ebay by widebasket say.  they are all front printed navy pbt.  is it really possible that the ones sold by mk are pad printed?

Just got this set (black, side-printed). There are non-windowed CapsLock (stepped even) and Insert is both non-windowed and windowed (probably will go for Varmilo), but it still kind of sucks because SCROLL-LOCK IS WINDOWED ONLY. So those who are too weak to ignore that window on non-backlighted keyboards should better get another set. NUM-LOCK IS WINDOWED TOO but it only matters for fullsize keyboards.

These look amazingly like these Ducky keycaps here:

https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=1806

Do you think they are the same base manufacturer even though they are branded differently? They are the same price on eBay and Mechanical Keyboards after shipping, but I'm sure I would get the latter much faster...

The font on the leopold caps is completely different. And the leopold caps are their own profile very similar to cherry profile.

Ducky caps are usually OEM profile but I can't tell from the info on the page you linked.

Not a great find but a couple of sets are available on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Geek-Compact-Keyboard-Keycap-104-Set-PBT-Dye-Sublimation-Cherry-MX-Leopold-Beige-/282140874719?hash=item41b0e817df, also in all gray. Pricey though.....
