Not today (Friday), but got my red white and blue Beauford in. I guess I have a thing for birds.

People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done

Thanks! Glad you approve. My ability at this stage is going to be a hindrance so I want to make sure the equipment isn't. I've not liked soldering before and I suspect the equipment had something to do with that.

Let's Split! kit from Mekhee, gotten 2nd hand on /r/mechmarket. Transparent Smoke case with black PCBs.
173060-1
All finished up & flashed with the default LS layout. ;D
Gateron Green switches, spring swapped to 80g gold plated springs, & lightly lubed with very thin krytox mix. Ducky yellow dye-sub OEM profile caps for now, plan on getting some DSA or XDA alphas & blanks for it sooner than later. Also gotta get a nice coiled TRSS cable & a DIY USB micro cable kit to match whatever colors I go with on the caps.

The learning curve is a bit steep for me with this board, since it is my 1st ortho, split, & 40% all in one. Been using it for a few hrs now & so far so good though, the more I use it the more it feels like a keeper. It also makes me want to try out some more ortholinear & split boards! :thumb:

Project time!

GH60 Satan PCB, case, plate.
120 Gateron Blues, TechKeys 6 key PCB and case, and dice keycaps for that.

I love it when a plan comes together!

5 x Noctua 'Redux' fans. Currently I have an AIO water cooler with two fans at the front, and one rear exhaust fan. It runs cool on idle but my ambient room temps are high as I'm in the loft.. So I'm adding 2 more to the inside of the rad for push/pull; 2 to the roof for extra intake, and a much more powerful rear exhaust. Should be nice and cool now even running demanding games.

Installing them tomorrow, will also be a good excuse to open the case up and clean any dust out (it's pretty clean tbh)

Very nice, I am jealous for sure! :P Trying to wait for Vega to upgrade my 980ti, but ever since the Frontier edition got released it's looking more & more like I'll either be springing for a 1080ti or an 1180(?) if NV announces the next gen of GTX cards soon & it's a big enough jump over Pascal.
