Looks really good! Might jump on this.

One niggle though - the 40s/Ortho kits are missing R3 Del (for Preonic) while they do include other Preonic caps (R4 Backspace, R3 Tab).

Any chance this could still be fixed?

Oh god the layouts I looked at apparently did not have R3 Del. It's so hard with sub60 boards bc people do different layouts and it's so hard to know what's standard xD Let me talk to Upas about it thanks for pointing it out!

I just gotta say, I really, REALLY love how you've broken up the sets. I have a bunch of different KBs: some 60s, some 40s, some ortho some not but don't ever need a numpad. I just love that I can really pick and choose and not get a gazillion keys I don't need.

60s icons, 40/Ortho icons, Alphas, and Colevrak (THANK YOU for that last one especially) are about to be bought.

I just responded to you on reddit but - I talked to some ergo users and apparently y'all are a wild bunch and don't have a set amount of legends you use in exact places. Since it was a later add on I didn't want to mess it up with having a half assed kit so I will do more research on that for my next set

Yes those kits will cover all of the keyboards you mentioned, given that you have no wild layouts going on haha

Yeah DZ60RGB hotswap is basically 60% layout with 1.75 shift and arrow keys.

Thanks for the explanation on each vendor's timezone. There goes my luck.

Anw I never thought to get such set. I mean, I don't even play LOL, but I somehow like the colors & PBT. KAT is a new profile for me, so let's see how it goes.

Love the set, and I've already bought most of it, but was just wondering why you went with Colemak over Dvorak? I've bought the Colemak kit, as I was planning on learning it regardless, but I thought Dvorak was the more popular of the two? Anyways, absolutely love the set, and I can't wait for it to arrive! Also psyched of some of the artisan collabs.

Numbers Update

We've hit 45k units out of 54k MOQ so almost there!
The minimum MOQ is 24k units, so the set can be made no matter what, but we have priced at the second tier at 54k which is why I have stated the 54k goal.

Some more info about KAT MOQ for those not familiar:

KAT MOQ has 3 tiers, 24k (minimum), 54k, and 120k total units. I just learned this last night but a unit = keycap unit NOT a singular keycap, so 2u keycaps count for 2 units.

The way the kit MOQ works is "suggested numbers" to hit the number of required units. I will be providing some numbers to amazing community member dvorcal so he can make some pretty graphs at the end of the week

But those kit numbers do not necessary have to be hit for those kits to be made.

Short answer: Yes.

Long answer: Kinda.

If the left half of your alice has a 2.25u space and 1u mod, then the only thing you'll be missing is a second B, which you can fill out with another R1 key (up arrow, end, page down).

If you have a 2u space and 1.25u mod, then you'll need to use the 2u shift key which will be the wrong colour for the row.

I made an error in the Ergo kit where the last row colors are off (thanks to MKUltra for pointing it out). Have attached an image of updated kit and a "sample" flatlay of what it would look like matched up to the alphas. Wanted to provide update that proper colors will be used for production!

I keep seeing the keys as little marshmallows that have been gently squished vertically so that they bulge slightly at the edges.

It's building the excitement for me for whatever reason.. I just want to feel the little squashy pillows. Any chance of a marshmallow material instead of PBT? Not sure if it works with dye sub.

Funny thing the key surface is matte and smooth, like a marshmallow too. You'll like them.
