I've been looking for a two-part aluminum numpad for quite a while as I frequently deal with numbers. the other numpad out there does provide a comfortable angle when using the keyboard feet but it's not as sturdy as a aluminum one would be.

Are we long lost cousins? :P

What CNC do you have? I've been interested in small ones. I've been debating getting access to the local maker space around here that has a big ass vertical mill.

i have about 3in of vertical space for machining at the moment. should be more than enough for each half in theory.

i have an X-Carve by Inventables. upgraded spindle 1000mmx1000mm

i'll be doing some more upgrades to it as soon as i can to increase its vertical and its Z axis mechanics.

That looks exactly like yuktsi's numpad. You'll definitely need to change the design up because I'm quite positive yuktsi is planning on making said numpad. I personally would start fresh because no matter what you do that design will have similarities if you use yuktsi's design as a base. I would love an aluminum numpad but did yuktsi agree to this?

I'm close friends with yuktsi. I crashed at his place and told him I needed a numpad. Didn't know that yuktsi designed this before  :'(

I don't know if this will be his final design but I do know he is planning on making a numpad to match with the r1 Jane's. I'm all for an aluminum numpad though, hopefully we can find a median between the designs and get one produced.

I didn't know about that. I'll talk to him about changing some designs maybe.
