8113 have tactile grey 39 to match their brown and clear switches. grey 37 is linear so it will match the reds in my 3494.

Eh, not sure why you're asking that, but the purest titanium you're going to find on the open market is about 90 percent titanium, with the rest made of aluminum, vanadium, and a few other trace elements, like carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, boron, and yttrium.
Because it would be nice to have as much of the precious titanium as possible, not 15% titanium, 85% of other cheap alloys, and call it a titanium space bar.

I actually never heard of titanium being that unpure. 15 percent interstitials would be considered a crazy contamination in most fields. I have never seen titanium with that much foreign material. Then again, I have only ever used it in construction. My titanium keys were grade 5 or even 23.frankly, this is basically cosmetic, and i'm sure it helps decrease the labor needed to finish the caps..

Whatever the profile of the keycap set you're using is, that is the profile you need to order the titanium spacebar in. If you're using cherry DS like me, you will order a cherry profile titanium spacebar.Even if you use SP keys, get a cherry profile space, not sure how people can enjoy SP's sharp spacebars

I wonder what a whole keyboard case made of shiny polished titanium would cost... But there's no way that a cherry 3000 case would be made... It would probably be something tenkeyless seeing as that's what's IN right now...
I'm really looking forward to my spacebar though. Those things have been taunting me for a year. They just never had the proper stems for my 3494 so I couldn't justify them. I have a feeling that once pictures of these custom titanium spacebars start flooding the forums there will be a huge demand for another round.

I'm not sure if there will be another round of this. The producer's time is really unstable. It was lucky enough to have his promise on this round.
One can always dream, the one of a 3000 compatible titanium spacebar came true. Maybe next year or the year after there will be titanium cases, who knows. But I doubt there will be a 3000 compatible titanium case.Since no many people using Cherry G80-3000 series, it's kinda hard to image that there will be metal case for 3000 in the market.
So even if there is sufficient demand after this, the producer may not have time to do them? That sucks for all the poor souls who miss this.

The producer's name is langtou. He doesn't have a brand name like MKC. He gets a full-time job and these keycaps are not all his life.

cnc sounds much nicer (and accurate) than mold cast anyway :)IT would depend on the quality of the molds used. If you get some really well designed ones, that account for proper shrinkage (and were designed using finite element analysis, fluid dynamics, etc.) you can in theory have moulds that are the same as CNC.

@Feng, any chance there could be thick Ti modifiers too, 1.5x also? I'd get in for 7x thick spacebar, but only it mods would be thick too. I just like uniformity. Oh, and any change modifiers will also be present in different profiles? (I want Cherrys)Not sure yet. Our plan for the first modifier group buy is enter, backspace, left and right shift. Since they all have 3 stems. Modifier will come in different profiles for sure.

That being said, is the finishing all that's left to be done? I will probably have to use a black instead of a grey 37 for my spacebar switch, as these will probably be too light... I expect the thin-ness will make them simply clack instead of THOCK...
I prefer cherry DS, so I won't be ordering any zinc (2nd) or titanium modifiers.

Maybe, but the THOCK would probably hurt after a while on a plate-mounted board. I have a feeling that a THICK titanium spacebar would have a noticeable difference to a thin one on a PCB mounted board. And that the THOCK would be much softer and pleasant to type on with PCB-mount.
I HATE platemount! It's so harsh to bottom out on a plate. PCB mount is where it's at. My titanium spacebar will be going on my 3494.O-rings.

Sure. Titanium is less strong than most steels (though it is significantly lighter) and I can imagine bending steel that size with a pliers. You can apply a surprising amount of stress with just a pliers.And Hammer said that you can simply adjust the stems by yourselves. You juse need a plier.

The shininess and texture when stroking it is awesome though. I just wish it was thicker, heavier, and louder. I wonder if weights could be attached to the other 3 stems...
Try lead tape, they sell them at golf shops to change the weight of your club

it's slightly too heavy for a green. i haven't tried it with any heavier springs yet. i would not recommend using it with a blue/brown spring.

I can mount my textured one on my poker reds OK. and it is working quite nicely. (using right now.)
And was somehow able to mount my shiney one on my QFR reds.. But it makes the stabiliser rattle now.. but it works???
