Prepare for the worst, hope for the best. If you save for the $300-400 range you will be safe and may be able to add more extras.

The thing with Duck, it seems, is that, instead of rolling out a unique design with every keyboard, he seems to have styles that roll out in waves and gradual progression if you notice how the v1 Lightsaver was in comparison to the v2 and the v1 Orion (taking the v2 LS design) and the v1 Octagon and Viper and Eagle all taking the same LS v2 design. Now the Orion v2 ushered in a new design paradigm for Duck and I don't think he's going to change it just yet.

I guess we'll see. The Trinity that was mentioned in the Octagon thread seems pretty fascinating.

I'm assuming to get closer to the 6u layout of the HHKB without actually requiring a 6u space bar? Maybe. Sometimes design changes are a little whimsical.

maybe because this idea is quite new.
Currently all HHKB-like keyboard use 6u spacebar (infinity) or 7u spacebar (GH60 HHKB). People need time to get used to a 6.25 one as I think.

Yes I agree 6.25u is a good idea cause it can suit most of the keycap sets in the world.
However, I still think the right side of spacebar matches the position of the key on previous row look weird.
But whatever,

I would think the Eagle V2 GB should happen at the same time as Viper V2 like what happened for the V1's.

If it's a two-piece design like all of Duck's recent boards, it will probably be a little more expensive. The Octagon v2 was at least.

For instance, according to the Octagon v1 and v2 GB forms, the first Octagon was $366.03 shipped to the US.

The Octagon v2 in all aluminum with no extras came out to $422.13 shipped to the US.

The Orion v1 was more expensive than the v2, however.
