Nope. That is not profile. Profile is cherry profile, DCS, DSA, SA profile or OEM profile  ;)

For this group buy ONLY R4 CHERRY MX available...

Are you sure about that? The caps in the images are no where near Cherry profile. It might be good to clarify things so people you don't run into problems later.

[...]Pure silver by that I mean there's no additional mix metal addition.
Hallmark : 925[...]

Metal purity is usually referred to by the number of nines it has, so a purity of 99.9% would be described as three nines, 99.99% as four nines, etcetera.  In precious metals anything of three nines or above (99.9%) is usually referred to as pure, or fine.

In Sterling silver, or "925", or 92.5% there are 75 parts, or 7.5% of other metal(s).  This is usually just copper to help improve the strength of the alloy, though many other other mixtures (of the 7.5%) exist.

So which is it?  Pure or sterling?

And to which assay office do you send your metals for testing?

I am interested in this as well.

Otherwise, these look nicely enough-cast for the price. I wish they were cherry profile instead of OEM, but that wont' stop me!

perhaps the thread title should be changed to say 'cherry mx oem profile' so people don't think they are cherry profile.

many of you guys were right about that small details which could provide to mislead, i made change.

@bazemeke1979 sure.

About silver it's A925.

If that gb will go as it is going right now I supose another one won't be possible. Anyways new thing poped up right here which I didn't had clue before OEM profile vs cherry what's the difference other than how high/"tall" there are? I mean i'm able to put that keycap on razer, filco, ducky, qpad keyboards...?

OEM Profile comes with a lot of keyboards stock keys which normally are lasered or pad printed and wear out relatively fast. Most people in a community like geekhack are going to almost immediately replace their OEM keys with a superior set of Cherry keys (cherry profile) or Signature Plastics keys (DCS profile and occasionally SA or DSA profile). That is why so many people in the interest check thread said they would be in for Cherry profile and are not interested in OEM profile. There are very few quality sets manufactured in OEM profile.

do you think that this build quality has anything common with standard OEM? it's not plastic covered by silver but it was only build on it.... for dimensions.

What he's trying to say is not many people use OEM profile so while this key may be very high quality it won't match the profile most users use.

ok now i get it all clear do you guys now where i can find pbt or stronger build quality to build from CHERRY PROFILE? (can't be abs neither pom).

The main thing which in my opinion makes Cherry profile look better is the radii. DCS and OEM have constant radii along the edges while Cherry goes from a radii at the top to almost no radii at the bottom. The bottom shape is a square with sharp corners This creates less space in between the keys and a more precise look while maintaining a smooth look at the top of the caps.

Edit: Cherry lasered PBT can be found quite cheap.

If you can't find someone in Europe with an extra top row Cherry profile key in the next day or two I can send you one.

Is the sterling 925 plain or coated with some kind of anti-tarnish coating?
