Nice flat edges and no extra details. This looks like it would be much cheaper than the others, nice. Any price figures yet?

For only the case, it is way too expensive for such a simple case. Then I read that a PCB is included, which could justify the price a bit more. Does the PCB have a controller and diodes soldered?

With that design, yes. They have a hefty margin since there are few milling steps involved. It also doesn't require as many different tools to make this one, without chamfers etc. This design has a higher margin than the MKC case.

They do include a PCB of some sorts, which I guess bring the price to more reasonable levels. I wonder what kind of PCB it is and how complete it is. A PCB with soldered controller and diodes has a notable cost, and if it is included the price makes more sense.

There are two designs. One is LZ-MINI and the other is LZ87. Both design has aluminum plate which goes inside the aluminum case. Are these designs that simple?

If no controller is included, which one is supposed to be used? A teensy, a Chamelon or something else. I guess my question is: Is it up to us to make things work or is it provided?

And does the PCB include anything but traces?

As far as I know, the PCB is designed to use Aikon controller. Not sure if they are soldered on, but many times the controller and other necessary parts are offered as package.

Anyways.. the price of $250 seems to be lower than what I thought. KMAC group buy price was in that range and I heard KMAC project team worked pretty hard to get that price range plus the order size was larger in KMAC GB hence possibly better price tier than LZ series.

@damorgue:
Could you answer my question above? Is the design that simple?

Here are more pics on how the aluminum housing looks like.

2413-0

2415-1

You can also see that the controller is soldered on. The controller is called Aikon controller and it uses Atmega chip.

It is simpler, with fewer steps and tools needed. That said, since the PCB is included as well as a controller, that makes the price of the case more like 200 which is in line with what you would expect.

Edit: Does the mini case work the same; as in, included pcb and not made to fit some other model?

The cases and plates would only be compatible with A87 PCB and MX-MINI PCB. They are not made to be compatible with Filco or any other mass-produced keyboards.

Edit: Getting key caps for these boards will be an issue for many people who are not collector of Cherry vintage key caps. Many require Cherry style stepped Capslock and x1.5 bottom modifiers. I don't know if flat Capslock can be used, but I didn't see a single case where such Capslock is used.

^ the keycaps are the reason I'm seeking for a korean custom keyboard. However, looking for a 1x modifier in white and dolch color scheme is not easy, I don't know if they exist. In the other hand, for the white on black cherry caps, the 1.5 modifers are even rarer than the 1.25x one.

According to DrugER above, they will be made available on their website ( http://red-line.kr ) some point in the near future, but it seems that it'll only be available in Korea until they organize a way to make it available worldwide, possibly though a GB here.  As far as I can tell, they will offer the case, plate and pcb with controller, so you'll have to acquire mx switches from another source and solder them on.  Just keep an eye on this thread for upcoming news. :D

I'm pretty sure this is a case, and there is no PCB, you have you find your own MX MINI first before being able to use this case. It  has the option to be centered stem CAPS LOCK or the left aligned IIRC.

DrugER mentioned that they would have the PCB below:

yes, we offer housing, plate and PCB ONLY.

It's my understanding that said PCB would have a controller built in, but it hasn't been confirmed yet if it will all be one package (though it seems so).
