Story
Calligraphy, which was brought to Japan from China along with Kanji characters, is not only a method of recording and weaving eternal history and literary works, but also an art form in itself and an embodiment of Zen. The world painted with a pitch-black SUZURI inkstone and ink is a minimalistic yet meaningful representation of the spirit of Zen.

I don't think so.
There is not enough demand for R2 to meet their MOQ.

Actually, MOQ is 1000.

I haven't been able to tally up the number of non-Japanese vendors yet, but we are almost certain to reach the MOQ.

The look on Mammoth is stunning. I joined GB for Mammoth75 + numpad which makes me sad since I wanted to have a coherent look and use same keycaps for both keyboard and numpad

With blanks, you can use any layouts you wish and forget about any manufacturing inconsistencies in legends.

I know this is quite late request but would it be possible to add few keys:
R1: "+" and "´"
R2: "Å" and "¨"
R3: "Ö" and "Ä"
R4: "-"
This would make Nordic layouts fully compatible. In my opinion keys "¨" and "´" aren't as high priority as the others.

From what Google Translate could tell me, the runner posted on their Discord that they have not received samples yet, due to Covid-related delays. The samples are expected this month, so I guess it won't ship this year (at least not to customers, maybe to vendors, idk how fast MDA production moves).

Anyone else have a lot of misaligned legends? Mainly R2, but also mods, novelty spacebar (pic of black novelty mod is attached for a spacebar comparison), etc. I'll admit they look better in pictures than they do in person. The ones that are off feel about 0.5--1mm right shifted

Edit: unsure why the pic of the W uploaded sideways. Also I realize that I had that triangle spacebar novelty upside down for a pic. The centering of the purple one doesn't look as bad when the other one is mounted correctly

I also have some keys with legends that are shifted to the right. Everything else seems fine at first glance, but the alphas are obviously particularly noticeable.

Your photos do a much better job at illustrating it haha. I just couldn't get the angle right, maybe it was the built in camera processing that was doing some kind of adjustment. Anyway, it does seem like the shifts are not uniform across all "T"s for example, and the x/y distance each is shifted from the center is kind of random. Was hoping it would be uniform across the sets, but doesn't look like it unfortunately

In other relevant news, apparently the blank orders also got these misaligned alphas too lol. I don't think I'll be getting sets from MelGeek going forward, especially when they're charging near-GMK/SP prices. Sad because I like the profile, and I loved all the spacebar varieties (1.5u, 1u novelty), as well as the fact that they were flat while the set was lightly sculpted.

Hoping for some kind of reprint of the alphas or something. Unsure how it would work if everyone has different problems across all of the alphas though.

As far as I know, this is the first report of misalignment of the legend during this GB. Please try consulting with the store where you made the purchase.

I contacted SplitKB and they were told this was within "the allowable range". I can see that with the J and I in my picture, perhaps. But if the U or G are within MelGeek's standards, I also won't buy any of their sets.

It seems that there has been some miscommunication somewhere. Keycaps with significant misalignment or those printed in the opposite way should be replaced, and I have heard that the lead vendor will handle replacements for each vendor. Of course, I believe that MelGeek will respond with reprints if necessary.

Based on my experience working with them so far, I think that MelGeek is a very reputable manufacturer. So please rest assured.

I just installed my set (received a while back but waiting for a new board) and they are very nice. A little rougher and lighter than Big Bang - both have a nice feel.

I do want to point out that the bars on F & J are very, very tiny. I'm having trouble finding the home row properly without distraction. In the future, I'd recommend a more Big Bang size of bar. Thanks.
