Are you getting Old ? 5.0
« on: Wed, 04 March 2015, 02:32:23 »
The morning is cold.

Here I sit, cigarette in hand, a bootleg pdf novel on the screen, sipping a warm glass of microwaved water.

The only sound breaking the silence being the gentle whirl from my ceramic foot warmer..

Surely I've become the neo-21centy-geriatric..

The number of years I've been alive is growing, in what seems to be a increasingly rapid pace. Yet most of the time I spend awake is done doing something I hate, where every hour feels like an eternity.
I took this job because they paid me a lot, wasn't looking when they found me. Said Id do it for a year, collect the cash and take a even longer break from working than the four months I initially took. Now almost three years later Im more stuck than ever, getting addicted to having a few thousand dollars to spend each month. Getting paid is really addictive kids, don't ever get hooked.

Guess bitterness is getting stronger. Maybe it's time to start spending more time with the cousins husband who is from Scotland. Damn his family is bitter, Ill fit right in

Haha.. indeed.. yet despite the possible expenses, there is little novelty left in any such pursuits.. all that remain are these short spikes of interest of which grow exponentially in cost..

sigh..............

are you speaking of physical aching..

or the idea that..

family life, with its stochastic aberrations wear thin your sanity and will to continue living..

Sleeping on your back will help that greatly

Make sure to have a large (8-10 inch) pillow under your legs (knees) to relax the lower back into a more neutral position

Also use a "lower" head pillow because your lower body will now sink deeper into the bed.

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

There is one very simple and obvious explanation Dr Tp4 missed.

Life does that to you, one way or another.

ugh..  and I'm getting all these wrinkles... life is killing me...

You must have heaps of spare time to waste like an overindulged woman  ;D .

When I get up at 4.00am must jump in shower, wash every nook and cranny then finish off picking ticks out between my butt-crack, off my back and arm pits (no kidding).

By 4.30am rush down to the mess hall and pick up some breakfast and newspaper, sit down for a brief read, catch up with the local gossip from mates that drop by.  After breakie, head back to my donger for some teeth brushing and assemblage of work bag and laptop.

5.00am jump on the local bus heading onto our work site and along the way read emails from head office and send off stuff back to them.  By 5.25am we arrive at work site and after checking the previous shifts notes and completion records we pick up what they left off.

So by 6.00am we commence our 12 hour work shift.  During that time period have never personally spent any time in front of a mirror to see how I look nor do I care, because there are far more important things in life to worry about  :thumb: .

Is this a thing for humans or only for the tp specy?

I'm not old (23yo) but I got rheumatism because of a hip dislocation some years ago, so there's that.

a wholw bunch of asians (chinese at least) consider tap water to be dirty and uncooked, so they only drink boiled warm water.

You don't want to drink unboiled water unless you KNOW your pipes are in good order..

But realistically, HOW THE HELL would you know if there's contamination SOME WHERE along the lines,  over the course of 10-20 years that the house has been built..

You just can't know..  The testing may even be sporadic depending on time of day, season, wet/dry outside conditions..   ETC..

So.. basically the only way to be safe with regards to drinking TAP, is to boil it..

-on bottled water...v

Now, I stopped drinking bottled water because there's a distinct Plastic taste, even from the expensive bottles..

LOL..

米汤..  yes, you can drink that... buh there's usually not enough for the entire day for everybody..

And asians don't usually make the porridge-d-rice in the winter.. (i mean) times have changed, maybe many families do it nowadays, but not back in the day...
