Thanks, and yup, Model m.  My pure and QFR are on shelves above the monitor (the black smudges in the pic  ;D).  Went back to the M as my Wife was getting pissed at using the Pure.  I don't have the stock keys on there, so you have to know the function layers.  Also, she likes having the number pad there.
wut. i'd buy a ****ty IBM board for that green V2

Thanks for telling me the brand and model of the clock. Sadly I haven't been able to locate anywhere that is still selling it.

Get this maybe?

Finally got around to taking these. Sorry for the phone camera photos ect.

From the front it's pretty clean except for the one displayport cable that I need to reroute. I need to find some pretty way to route the keyboard and mouse cables too.

Alright, I'll admit I'm showing off here, but this home workspace basically represents my entire first year of working full time. When I started on geekhack I was working part-time, struggling with completing my alu poker vs. rent, and posting on a laptop. Now here I am almost two years later!

Lol, obviously need to address cable management here...it's in the works!

Welcome to Geekhack!

A very nice setup you have, too :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Which one? I'm guessing you meant the top one since the bottom one is clearly a CLG DeathAdder, top one looks like a Zowie Mico to me but it's not the best picture.

Yep, got the CLG one. The top one was actually a Naga, but yeah it is totally impossible to tell there, hahaha.

CLG Deathadder, same shape as normal Deathadder :]

Thank you! Very true. Also need a bit of luck when you are waiting for white monitors to come out lolol. :]

Gah. This is the aesthetic I'm always trying to go for throughout my house, but it never gets there. Nice setup!
Yeah, the rest of my house is nothing like this lol, it would be nice to have all matching furniture/artwork/decor. The biggest thing that matters though is sunlight, and unfortunately I don't have enough windows to justify a matching design scheme for the rest of the place. Which doesn't really bother me since I spend 80% of my home time at my desk anyway lol.

You already know how I feel about this.

As soon as I get R2 in the mail it will be done!

Thank you! Also lots of work to keep white clean haha, but I think it's worth it. I use glass cleaner maybe 3 times a week lol. :]

No idea what to do with all of this newfound space after the gf moved her PC.

Gonna start looking for a second monitor now, might go for a 120 or 144 hz one, suggestions?

The AKG band looks a little stretched.

How's the Hayate treating you?

As for the monitor, definitely this:

Yeah, as I stated in the headphone thread I don't dare storing my headphones on the stand, I only use it to hold them for short periods of time. Although the block is narrower than my head, so storing them there probably puts less strain on them than my head does.

Hayate's a good allround pad, although I think I like the soft Hien better. Although soft is less good if the mouse has a sharp seam or something underneath, snagging is not good.

I do want that monitor, but damn it's pricey. I've been looking at the AOC G-sync monitor, still a bit pricey but far more affordable than that ASUS beast. I'm also a bit on the fence on whether or not I should get a big monitor or not; higher res means maintaining high fps for that refresh rate is harder.

Get this for the phones then: http://www.amazon.com/Wooden-Omega-Headphones-Hanger-Holder/dp/B00F2L1NOO

I'm stuck between the Hayate and the Shiden, both would be a definite upgrade from my QCK+. Choices, choices.

What are your size and resolution preferences? I wouldn't go that high up the freq list if it didn't matter with what you do, but I'd be happy with just triple 4k 24inchers.

As long as it's bigger than 23" and 1080 or more I'm happy, although I'd probably not want a 1080 27". So tempted to get a G-Sync monitor, but they're pricey atm and I don't know which ones are any good(except for the ROG Swift which costs a bunch).

No idea what to do with all of this newfound space after the gf moved her PC.

Gonna start looking for a second monitor now, might go for a 120 or 144 hz one, suggestions?
I've got the benq XL2720Z and it's amazing... for counter strike  :p
If you calibrate it (the best you can) it's not to bad for general use.

The ASUS 24" 144hz is pretty nice too, wait! the 24" benq 144hz was on sale for the same price as the ASUS or cheaper...

Got it!

Thanks, the wallpaper is just the standard one that comes with neiio's nOVA theme. Image quality is pretty bad on it though, so it doesn't look that good unless you have a small monitor.

Yeah. I didn't actually notice the quality until I had a second look at it after you'd asked, I mostly have windows and stuff covering it and the only times it's on display is when I'm not sitting at my PC, which also means I'm too far away to see the quality. So now I'm using wallpapers from the wallpaper pack made for nOVA. They don't look as fancy, but at least they're proper quality.

My only gripe with that one is that it's 27" and 1080, not too fond of that tbh. And a 27" 1080 monitor at that price point, tbh I'd rather just fork out the extra cash to get the ROG then.
At this point I'll probably either get the AOC 24" or wait for more g-sync monitors to come out before I get one.

But still tempted to splurge on the ROG Swift >_>

So, a few things about this setup:
  • There are three computers among the four monitors
  • One monitor is setup for all three computers (economical!)
  • Yes, that's a wireless keyboard/mouse setup for the Mac mini - when I'm not working, the HHKB/trackball is used on it instead
  • Pretty much everything I like is photographed in this picture - I'm a simple man
  • I have a hockey stick curse - all the sticks were from Predators players who have been traded AFTER I got the stick
  • Ramona was painted by my roomie - on the opposite wall, I have Scott, also by her

Haha, nope. From top to bottom:
  • Legwand - promotional stick, signed
  • Hornqvist - game-used stick
  • Lindback - game-used stick
I will NEVER own a Shea Weber or Pekka Rinne stick. Or Seth Jones. One of my friends has a jersey curse. Any jersey he buys, the player either tanks following the buy or gets traded. Or both.

Crappy curse. I want some Jagr game used sticks, just can't part with that money right now.
