Just put up some new stencils done by a friend.

Also pictured: POK3R with RGB modifiers. Will be adding LEDs soon enough.

No, they're just the stock vortex caps.

So are those spray paint on canvas? I have to appreciate the patience it takes to make those stencils seeing as there are at least 4 per piece, and cutting them out is not fun.  Cool pieces.

Now I can't unsee... I even used a level to make sure they were all straight. I think it's the frames that aren't perfect. Might as well throw them all out now

My Playstation 5 Desktop/HTPC Setup

  • "Playstation 5" Desktop with 980Ti, 4790k and RGB LEDs
  • 50" Panasonic Plasma TV
  • Vizio Soundbar 5.1 Setup
  • Pok3r MX RED
  • Razer Death Adder
  • Madcatz Tournament Edition Fightstick Dual Modded for PS3/Xbox360 with black acrylic, ArcEye 3 LEDs and Remora LED controller

A little background story on my desktop HTPC. Last November, I decided to skip the next generation console (namely PS4) in an effort to build my first gaming PC. Hence the reason why I named my little guy the Playstation 5. Even went for a black case and RGB LEDs so that I can match the exact color scheme of the PS4. :D

Nice Maow. Rhino looks like a cool HOTAS. Nice to see some other people with sim gear!

I use a CH Fighterstick, Pro Throttle, and Pro Pedals. Do you flight sim as well? Or are you a Star Citizen backer? I have Elite, but I haven't played it in quite awhile.

Does your desk always look like that, or did you have a frantic clean-up just before the photo ;)

I try to clean mine sometimes, but every flat surface just fills up with miscellaneous things, and then dust.

I have this problem too, Rowdy. Random knick-knacks, keycaps, little tools, little miscellaneous items. And then the dust. Kind of drives me insane. I'm moving shortly after Christmas, so I'm going to try to get it under control for good, but I'm sure that will be futile.  :))

I caught myself, the other day, thinking I need a bigger desk.. but my desk is already a huge L-shaped desk.  :blank:

Thanks, buddy. I'm not sure what kind of woodtype it is, but the desk itself was made by my father around 8 years ago. It's wall-mounted on the left and back. The desk is located in my bedroom, so my bed is placed right next to it. Here's a picture:

Welcome to Geekhack!

Thanks, looking forward to spending more time in here. I've been reading on the sidelines for a while, but thought it was appropriate to finally say hi.  ;D

As shown in the photo above, this is was it usually looks like. I don't have a lot of space on my desk, so I always aim to keep it as tidy as possible. My phone, TV remote, a cup of coffee, a snack or some water. Otherwise, this is pretty much how it always looks. As for cleaning, I regularly vacuum (yes, vacuum) the desk and all the peripherals on it (monitor, keyboard, mousepad etc). I use a soft brush that came with my vacuum cleaner, it works flawlessly. It's a lot faster and easier than using a cloth. And a lot more effective, especially because it doesn't tend to 'drag' the dust around.  ;D

That's a pretty great simple setup especially since you've got smaller real estate up there. It looks great, though. What kind of desk do you have because that wood finish looks pretty rad.

Does your desk always look like that, or did you have a frantic clean-up just before the photo ;)

I try to clean mine sometimes, but every flat surface just fills up with miscellaneous things, and then dust.

And a lot more effective, especially because it doesn't tend to 'drag' the dust around.  ;D

That's a cool custom desk, then. And seems to be a great solution for the room. Makes me want to endeavor in custom building everything! Also you are a better person than me to regularly vacuum. I'd be happy if I use one of the microfiber towels I have and just do a quick sweep on my stuff once every blue moon. I don't really get to my computer until evening/night since I'm out all day so I don't ever wanna do anything after.
So fancy!

My guitar and assorted stuff (the white boxes have comics in):

Finally the inside of my machine(in need of a dusting I think):

Just put up some new stencils done by a friend.

Also pictured: POK3R with RGB modifiers. Will be adding LEDs soon enough.

(Attachment Link)

Those stencils are dope! I saw your friend post them on the stencils subreddit. They came out really nice.

More like Playstation 7 with the way current console hardware is going

Yeah....  they took a step backwards with the newer games like Witcher 3 barely running at 20fps.  It's crazy to see Oculus Rift and Xbox One partnering up... I don't know how they will be able to run gaming content on the rift when the minimum recommendation to run the rift is a GTX 970.

I guess cleaning is one of the reasons why I usually have a tidy desk. It just makes it that much easier. But I tend to hate clutter in general, not just on my desk.  :D

I tried that - using a smaller desk.  Didn't work for me :))  Two computers (two keyboards, two monitors, two mouses) on one small desk just didn't work.

I guess I could put on computer on each desk, but I have two desks and two other tables in this room and they are all full.

One reason why I like TKL keyboards - two of those fit nicely side by side on my main desk.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I like my desk neat, after all it's my working place ( even though I'm not quite neat in other aspect  :p )

I realized almost all of you guys only had the PC on the table, you guys don't work/read with the same table?

Idk, my desk is basically just a surface for monitors, and then I have a tray for the keyboard and pointing devices. That's it. But I have lots of **** everywhere else.

LOL, not really, it is just a Mexican style three bedroom, but I manage to keep a room as my studio, with some hard to do negotiations with my wife.
