my mess, judge away ;-;

Nice wall, nice setup
bad keyboard

shhh bby, one day you'll understand why the hhkb is the greatest keyboard known to man.

so, why is that?

topre best switch
hhkb best layout

use one and you'll see what a great combo it makes.

also, before those horrible mx/topre sliders, it was hard to make these boards ugly. but now these cherry scrubs started ruining the hhkb look with all their damn colors.

But Topre is rubber  :p

It is The Ultimate Rubber Dome keyboard!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Rubber, Dome, I'd say it's about 50% there.

In all seriousness though, I have never used Topre so I can't really comment, except for the durability that rubber is going to naturally deteriorate over the plastics etc of an MX switch.

possibly, but i doubt i'll make to that point.

still feels better than mx switches, and you don't have to go out of your way to make them feel better.

RF55g is still, imo, the greatest out the box ready to use keyboard currently made.

Yeah I'd like to get a HHKB modded with 55g or an F660C with the same, not likely though.

Temporary holiday setup while I'm at my parents' house.
In the end.. the keyboard's most grand form of existence is as an ethereal bridge between man and machine..    Each depression of the keys, evanescent.. Our transitory thoughts crashing into the web, carving canyons through the internet wasteland such that life may once again flourish..

The power bill worth it? ;)

Now using the book holder that used to sit at the back of my desk as a desk. Man is it cramped.

Better than sitting on the floor!

I've upgraded the CPUs and also sold those cards and I'm currently running three 980's but they don't look as good as the old cards as they are missmatched.

Damn that's got to be the highest spec machine I've ever seen! Epic

You could VM out a few gaming machines on that!

Loving your setup, the desk is so big! Can't wait to get a better apartment layout so I can mount my monitors as well, so much space saved there.
