Been a while since I've seen a Swiftpoint.
Awesome device, used it for some time, but the lack of middle button was a show stopper in the long run.

I like it somewhat, I've had it for a very long time but had it in a laptop bag pocket and it was forgotten about for years. It's terrible for gaming.

Nice setup :)

Are you happy with the wrist rest? It looks way more comfortable than I'm willing to admit  :thumb:

Yeah, I love it. It's filled with a mix of tiny polymer beads and lavender buds, so I can mush it around to get the exact fit I want at the moment and it smells nice instead of developing that "funk" that such things often do.

It's a pretty awesome setup. I'm interested in the specifics as well. I was thinking of doing a second row, might have to jump on that!

This looks so cool, I really like how the keyboards are mounted on the wall, I've been wanting to do this for a while now. How did you mount them?

Lain's set up is pretty dope.
I gotta rewatch that show some day, it's really freaking good!

This is really cool man, I like how you've done the print nice and simply, loads of cool posters up there  :thumb:

I've had varying success with mounting tape. For some reason it seems random whether it works or not.

It strikes me that a lot of people sit so close to their large/multiple monitors. I've got a 24 inch one set well back on a deep dining room table and I'd probably move it even further away if my father hadn't it swamped with printers, paperwork and other junk.

I completely agree with you. I have 3 24" monitors and sit a good 2-3 from the screens.

I have no room to move my monitor back, so I sit further away.

I guess that works too. A large desk is definitely a necessity. Lots of room for keyboards  ;)

So they are studio monitors, they have a flat frequency response so they can replicate sounds exactly as they were recorded! These are actually on the lower end, but they are perfect for what I want!!

That is a nice clean setup!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

On the other hand, I'm a researcher and writer and like fountain pains, wooden wall trims and wooden floors and would like a more classical desk.

I approached the functional aspect of this problem by getting a deep desk and mounting my screens to the wall. When I'm computing, I pull the keyboard forward, pull myself up to the desk, and am still sitting at a healthy distance from the screens. When I'm writing, all the computer stuff is pushed to the back of the desk. I then have two feet of depth and 4-6 feet of width (depending on how much I have piled at edges) to work problems by hand.

If you have the floor space in your office, you could also set up a pair of desks. A minimal setup on one side of the room for the computer gear, and a more traditional setup on the other side for writing.

WASD V2 (sold to my friend/coworker MX browns) and my current WASD Codekeyboard (Cherry MX clears).

I'm waiting on my Team Wolf swappable switch keyboard to come in now, and still researching which Topre keyboard to get next. Was looking at the Leopold 660c, but now the new Cooler Master Nova Touch is very enticing.
