Title: Help using inkscape to do wasd v2 custom keycaps?

Well i downloaded the template for the wasd v2 and i can't figure out for the life of me to use inkscape properly, maybe it's because i never use these kind of programs but I'm having trouble just entering text on the keys, can anyone just tell me what i have to do just to do some simple things like add text and such? I feel like a idiot haha! :confused:
