Sounds a bit too easy?

Fergus:
So I came across something claiming you can learn to code like a pro hacker, but honestly, it feels a bit off. Like, isn't hacking supposed to be this hardcore thing where you spend nights glued to your screen, drowning in lines of code? This thing makes it seem way too simple. Anyone here tried it? Kinda feels like it could be a trap or just one of those things that sounds better than it really is... I'm definitely not sold on it.

Findecanor:
Difficult to tell what it is you have found. "Hacking" can mean a lot of different things.

One theory is that the word originated with students at MIT who conducted practical pranks, called "hacks" because they  sometimes involved using a hacksaw to build or modify something around the MIT campus. Some of those hacks are legendary.
Then students in the computer rooms started being called "hackers".

"Hacker" is often used to describe a computer criminal, who breaks into systems.

Or just a computer enthusiasts.

As to the naming of this forum, it is intended for computer "geeks", and for "hacks" (as in writers, not hackers) who type a lot on computer keyboards. Because the forum is about computer keyboards.
