dumb question, but I have an audio technica player that has a setting to switch from 12" to 7". Does this really matter? And if so, what do I do for 10"?

dumb enough question that I already figured out that just automates the needle dropping in the right place lol

I just started with vinyl so I don't really have much but:

The Pacific Myth set is pretty neat; each jacket has the artwork each song was released with plus blue records matching the colors on the sides of the jackets

I also just like this red combined with the cover art and the song

In there's also the Limerent Death single that I managed to get the very last one of when I saw them in DC (and my luck is usually **** so I was ****ing stoked)

Neat! I just spun my Mondo release of 2001 last night! Sadly it's the black version, not the fancy colored one. I loved the old mondo sales, never knew if you'd get a rare colored version or not!

Not unlimited, these were obtained throughout several years which explains their aged aesthetics on their covers.

Mr. Gerbik!!!  Nice!

I should snap some pics of my records.  Most of them are EDM, but some other stuff like REM, 311, and so on.

That's awesome. Why so much to the schiit stack? I would assume all you would need is a DAC and AMP?

From bottom to top --> preamp (for the phono), USB power source (totally ****ing unnecessary and I'm going to sell most of this soon anyways), USB DAC, source changer (the cheapest and most useful thing of all of these), headphone amp

Unfortunately, I think it's actually particle board - it's heavy but not *that* heavy, and vintage styling from the era tended to be particle board with veneer.  It's a Dual 606 for reference.

Fortunately, it's been relegated to my secondary TT (the one for playing records on speakers when I have people over), and replaced today with this beauty:

My setup is definitely stepping up...

Why the platter cover?  Is that needed with an acrylic platter?  That's the TT I Want to buy.  looks really nice

To be 100% honest I don't know if the cover is necessary with an acrylic platter, but it's certainly the aesthetic I want.

Other upgrade of note was that it came with an Ortofon 2M Red from TTL.  Maybe some day I'll get a 2M Blue, or at least the blue needle, but I doubt I need to upgrade anything anytime soon.  My wallet would sure thank me to not do so.
