DSA Anaglyph

I had this idea to do a anaglyph keycap set because of a misprint on one of my mousepads. The design got printed 3 times or so, and it instantly reminded me of the red/blue 3D glasses.

Here is a rough idea of what the keycaps would look like -


On paper, and on the screen, the design works pretty well with 3D glasses. If there is interest, I am going to order samples in to make sure that the design translates to keycaps.

We also have a couple designs for mousepads (samples already ordered).

- Lock in kit
- Get samples made
- Possibly get custom box made for the set

That's a pretty cool idea. Will they be able to print the dyesub layers on every key with enough precision though? And through red/blue glasses does it make the text look like it's floating above the keys?

They shouldnt have any issues with the actual printing of it, but we will have to see if it translates well. Thats why I really want to get samples made first. With the glasses, it makes the alphas look like they are floating a pretty good distance, and the mods have a slight floating effect.

Great idea! If it prints well and you end up making these I'd probably be in even though I prefer cherry profile.

(Also, if all of the above happens, I'm gonna be begging you to run it again in ePBT or mt3)

i'd certainly be interested.  i expect you'd need to modify the offsets to account for the surface curvature.

I really like the deakpad. I'm not a fan of dsa though so I probably wouldn't get the keycap set.

What, DSA is amazing; however, to each it’s own. This set is going to rock! Who knows it may make it to another profile later too!!!

I understand why people like DSA, but I don't like the flat profile form an ergonomic perspective. I tried out a set for a few months and ended up selling it. I also don't like how thin DSA caps are either.

Either SA sculpted or Cherry. Probably SA for this particular set.

For the effect to work well flatter is better. XDA might be the best option for a set like this.

I bet HUB would've work well too. Basically low profile SA with relatively flat tops. It's too bad the project failed it's Kickstarter.
