I'm gonna post this here, even though I no longer own this beauty. Maybe it will inspire someone. :)

Not sure how I like those white caps on my dark hhkb, but Im to lazy to swap again  >:D

That is my exact setup also, the white and grey caps on the dark grey HHKB. I have been using mine for about a week at work and really like the feel. The layout is just ok for me but much better than my poker.

Arrived safe and sound, love the way it looks :)

I have no idea of the specific color, I bought it as just a "grey topre cc". I was really pleased to see how well it matches though. I've been digging through old threads trying to find a match but nothing looks quite the same

Nope...the numberpad has an equal key....my lime green set's equal key is already being used by the number row on my 87U.

I have an 87U variable silent. I love typing on it. And it still has tactility. It's just not 'in your face' with it. A very refined typing experience.

My 87U 55g uni comes tomorrow. I'm excited like a kid at Christmas. But at the same time, not sure what to expect. I just don't see how typing could get any better than on a variable. But I'm sure both will have their place based on my mood. I switch to my HHKB when I want a change, and have no problem with keyboard shortcuts switching back and forth as some have pointed out. They both have their place.

That fc600 would be perfect for me if they had the Home and end keys on the side instead of insert and delete.

Can you map them on this board? Pretty sure you can. Or at least in OS X or Win7/8

Fn+up arrow/fn+down arrow are the hot keys for home/end which aren't tooooo hard to use

I think you can map this keyboard with autohotkey without any problems

Incorrect. The mapping is this:

Fn+Up: Page Up
Fn+Down: Page Down
Fn+Left: Home
Fn+Right: End

Which makes a lot more sense and kind of follows the way Mac laptops work. In practice, it's really easy to remember and get used to.

Geekhack has you now ;)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

My 1st Realforce a 87u 55g, I chose this because I have a HHKB 45g. Taking the advice from GH Topre users like BRO CAPS, daerid, and AKIMbO the 55g uniform is perfect for me. Thanks for the good advice. So far I like the low key look, but being a Mac user & not to fond of the Windows bubble keys I used some spare HHKB caps. With some key remapping its fully Mac ready, someday a Topre Clack would really be all I need for the full effect.
