Anyone else waiting for this game? I already pre-ordered my copy.

Prequel had very different story for those which other RPGs have had, and molarity is just shades of Grey or different perspectives. Which *******(/s) to go with, not good or bad... Strong issues, strong language, the engine left something to hope for, but new one looks absolutely stunning.
So I should add something useless here yes? Ok, ok...

I'll probably try it out, but won't pay the full price of it (I never pay the full retail price for any game).

I hope that you pre-ordered from Gog, it will be completely DRM free. This is one of the games that I can't wait for. The Witcher was a very good game.

Nah, went for Amazon.co.uk, free shipping and such. Anyway prefer to have hands on with those materials. Also I have order for CE, which is too low in price and wasn't even available, who figures...

30€ cheaper than GoG.com, and wasn't too intrest in their games so in all 16$ isn't 16€ worth...

I didn't get that far into The Witcher, but I would definitely like to try it out. I wasn't a huge fan of the combat in the first game, so I hope they've improved it.
Waiting for a Tenkeyless Leopold with MX Browns!

If you haven’t played the original I highly recommend it, It is available off steam or GOG but it is a hell of a download like 16 Gigs or so.
The original game was great. It wasn't as nearly as linear as the dragon age series, and the story is much more developed and interesting.

Here is the "official trailer"

Got my copy from GoG, predownloaded it so was able to play it today, though I only walked through the first 20 minutes so far. Can't speak much for gameplay or story yet since it's still so early but I gotta say the graphics are amazing. One of the best looking games out there, just under Crysis and Metro 2033 imo.

I already had it preloaded, and today I installed the game. But I can't play it yet because I still have 1 chapter to go in the first one.
Might take a day or two.

You guys let us know what you think of the game. I couldn't really get into the first one (I'm not the biggest fan of 3rd person).
I am interested in this one however.

Still only in the beginning area (the Interrogation) but from what I played so far, I like it. Combat is more streamlined than part 1 but it's got a real "old school" mentality to it, meaning you can die really really easily, even on Medium, which shocked me at first. I was like, "Wait, I can't just hack and slash in medium difficulty? I have to actually back up and use signs and items?"

Anyone else playing this on a controller? I know this might be blasphemy on a keyboard forum but I tried both and I'm finding it feels more natural to play this on my 360 controller than on mouse and keyboard. May sound weird but button pressing feels more satisfying than mouse clicking. Also controls are mapped to the controller pretty intelligently and it's not the type of game that needs a hundred hotkeys, the quick switch menu seems to do the job well enough.

Got my copy, somewhat conserned about multi-display support and lack of 16:10... Have to see how it works out...

I've been hearing that it doesn't support 16:10 aspect ratio. Hopefully it can be patched or changed within the game.

Oh wow, a game that I can't use max settings and get a playable frame rate. I didn't have that in a long time.
I am very pleased with the looks and the feel of the game. The fights at the beginning are really tough and unforgiving as you can't rely on just using the right style against types of foes.

This will be fun.

I've been running it at 1920x1200 with no issue. This is the first that I've heard of any problem with 16:10 and it's not even based on first hand experience.

I don't believe you. You either have black bars at the top and bottom of the screen or your driver/monitor is stretching the image to fit the blank area.

Guess I should play the first game soon, I only bought it on the Steam sale 6 months ago...  I've been needing a PC gaming fix after using my 360 for everything for so long.

Edit: Well, I'll be damned. There are black bars. I'm not sure how I didn't notice that.

The game is overall pretty dark, so it's hard to notice at times. Not a big deal, but it would have been nice to support 16:10. Maybe in a few patches.
