Hey, since this is by SP, I’ll try my luck and ask: do you think there’s a chance of getting one-off keys produced with custom legends? I’d kill for 2x 1.5 u shift keys on row 4 (bottom row) profile.

Quick question on this, would the ISO enter stem be oriented vertically or horizontally? That's the one catch I struggle with when sourcing ISO Alps keycaps, since mine is mounted vertically.

emailed SP the other day re: the mounts, stabs etc. to see what's available. it would be idea to offer a set of alps and mx mount mods separately to accommodate everyone.

I think about this set every now and then and get excited. I am a fan of the idea of the mx mods to make it easier for everyone. The Alps Throwback Keycap set had these (alps middle stem and mx outer stem) so you don't have to find alps stabilizers. Plates though are tough to come by that are made for alps but still keep the same cutouts for the mx stabilizers.

Design your own! I posted some in the DCS Yuri thread. Costs about €60 to get them made by laserboost.

hey everyone

so I talked to SP. here are the updates:

- they only have MX stabilizer stem, Alps switch stem caps. so there won't be any option for Alps/Costar stab inserts.
- pricing seems good, a base kit would be about ~$120 USD.
- regarding legends, I have to pretty much hand-pick these so it will go one of two ways: either the Cherry style like DCS Midnight or the Wyse style like their "black & white" set. Either one would be cool IMO, sort of leaning towards the Cherry style but that's just me.

I'm fine with either legend, mild pref for cherry as Yuri ran with WYSE. Would be nice to try both.

1Z it is. SP also prefers them.

I was also told to mention that the stab stems can be somewhat fragile/brittle, so it may not be recommended to remove/install the keycaps often. I'll include this as a disclaimer during the buy, etc.

I can be late, but don't you mind to add second R3 1.5U key? Like Meta, Control or Tab. It's useful for some (maybe even one) rare 40% boards with non-usual staggering.

I’m using a 7u DCS alps Yuri space bar with mx stabilizer mounts. All good on mine.

I have DCS Alps Throwback and Yuri, and both of those 7U spacebars work flawlessly. I had Alpine Winter and the 7U space was junk. The only way I could use it is by making a custom plate and using a Costar stabilizer on the spacebar.

As a latecomer to the Alps thing, I jumped on Alps Yuri just to get an Alps set. TBH, I don’t particularly like the Yuri colours (I may sell my 2x sets as soon as I have something else in hand), but Alps Yuri’s better than nothing.
